Stay well.

Adventure Girl I was into my first half-mile of a four mile run when I first saw Adventure Girl. She was scaling the natural bridge over Cherry Creek. I'd noticed the natural bridge a year or more ago, but I'd never yet seen anyone use it. Enter Adventure Girl. I hollered to her as I passed, "You're the first person I've ever seen use that bridge!" She looked at me like I was stupid. Adventure Girl is observant. I kept on my run along the winding trails, and a mile later, as I was climbing out of the ravine created ages ago by the formation of Cherry Creek, I happened to come up behind Adventure Girl on the trail ahead of me. I kinda startled her into popping an earbud out of her left ear as I ran past. From there the trail is a series of parallels bracketed by hairpin turns that turn the trail back on itself. The next time I saw Adventure Girl, she was running on the trail I'd just been on, heading vaguely toward me. We passed each other wordlessly. Sometime in my third mile I saw Adventure Girl for the last time -- deep in the woods, far off the trail, walking the length of a fallen tree like it was a balance beam. I admire Adventure Girl. She's on the road less taken.

Good morning.
Sunday and the sun's out, wow. It's supposed to get up to 60F so I'm thinking of yard work. That's as far as I've got.
Wife was up at 6 but went back to bed at 9 so I'll be quiet.
Welcome Home, Marty.
Stay safe.

Light rain showers on and off today. Going to a produce stand for fresh veggies in a few. Then, it’s finish emptying out the POD. No idea where to put stuff. And maybe I’ll get my stereo set up today. And maybe not.
Got a time slot for grocery p/u at the local Kroger’s, next Sat between 7-8 pm. And Costco should ship some stuff to us on Weds. Their two day shipping is taking six days.
Anyone know where to get masks?
Mike

Good Morning
Sleeping in my own bed, what a treat.
3 weeks ago getting up to use the toilet was a treat, instead of using a bedpan, or before that just soiling my bed because I couldn't move and was not even aware of my surroundings. Things have changed a lot but I still have a ways to go.
Tons of meds to take 3 times a day.
Riley kitty turned his back on me when I got home yesterday, mad at me for going away. But he got over it and took a long nap with me in the afternoon.

Mike My nurses liked me, I was cheerful, hard working in therapy and kept them entertained. They broke the rules and sent me home with with a mask, they are in short supply, and 200 extra units of insulin. Making a mask is your best option.

Good morning, folks. It's good to have Marty back. Also got some less good news from a different quarter.
It'll be 50s-80s here with live-streamed church from a half mile away. That still seems odd but we'll all be getting used to odd things.
Have a good day, one and all.

I must be getting bored. Yesterday I dusted, vacuumed, and cleaned the bathroom. Played a bit of mando. It had been so long that I had to remind myself where the notes are. Worked on a song I've been writing.
Today has no agenda except biscuits and chorizo gravy for breakfast, a streaming church service, our usual 2 1/2 mile walk somewhere around the neighborhood, and keeping my sanity.

Man I am happy for you Marty. Looking to be a nice day here. I will probably venture out to join the herd of zombie walkers.
Two builds going in the shop plus a guitar recording project so I have plenty to do.

I suspect that most of us with projects waiting downstairs are content to wait until Marty is done--recovering, that is.

Sunny and bright, bright, bright. Amazing how bright a sunny clear April day is when there is a foot of clean white snow on the ground.
Astronomers on the planet Zeon are all abuzz over the startling onset of a bright glow emanating from a section planet E-964's northern hemisphere. Visible to the naked eye, two new religions have birthed and people are stocking up on toilet paper in response.

Visible to the naked eye, two new religions have birthed . I heard about that. I've been busily crafting graven images to meet the demand.

A very pretty day here, temp headed for the low 60s, they say, lots of sunshine.
I love our governor, Tim Walz, who in issuing his stay-sheltered directive at the end of last month, was careful to include (I'm not making this up) "driving for pleasure" as a permissible activity. I took full advantage of that exclusion today on mostly empty country roads in Washington County -- gently rolling terrain dotted with horse ranches, farms, parks, nature preserves, bike trails and such.
I know most of the WashCo roads but stumbled upon a couple of newbies-to-me today, which is always pleasing and interesting.
I had the sunroof open, the radio on low volume and stayed well under the speed limit, unusual for me. It's as though I wanted the drive to just keep going. At one point I toyed with the idea of heading all the way to Duluth, just to soak up some Gitchee-Gummi views, but no.
Back to reality. I just read some very sobering quotes from the Surgeon General, who cautioned that the upcoming weeks are going to be very, very grim for our nation.
