This is good to know. Kim and I are planning on walking the mostly abandoned nature trail near our house, but we will be passing people maybe once in a while. Thanks for the post.

Dar and I were talking about the "study" this article is referring to (the one Don shared) on our run this morning and concluded the entire thing was utterly BS. You'd have to not be a runner to believe any of it.

You'd have to not be a runner to believe any of it. I run, and I don't see what that has to do with it. Anyway, the study does have the advantage of computer simulations based on actual research. If the choice is between hard data and thought experiments, I'd be inclined to favor the data. Not to stir this pot or anything, but, there is this. (From a Fox news affiliate, I see.)
