Remember to wash your hands! Right up to your forearms (I have only two).
Gray and rainy in New York. Two more days of my holiday break and then back to the home office for 5 hours before the weekend.
In the last three days, I managed to shred 15 years' worth of tax forms. We're going to make a nice bean-bag chair.

Good morning. Yesterday afternoon we attended a drive-by birthday party. We yelled our greetings through masks from fifteen feet away.
The sun will rise in a half hour. I'm off to the desert for some wilderness therapy. Enjoy your day.

Some drizzle this morning. Then some sun. Supposed to get into the low 60s today. We have a (hopefully) large order from Kroger’s being delivered today. We will see what actually shows up. I’m thinking a trip to the recycling center is also on tap, to dump more cardboard. And it’s trash day. Can you feel the excitement? Possibly a run to Home Depot for the daughter to get new roof panels for her chicken coop. Her damn chickens have a better life than some people. At least we get eggs out of the deal. Our new fridge that we ordered is still MIA, with no word on when it will show. It would be real nice to have a full size fridge in the house. Still, things could be worse. Keep on the sunny side...

Good morning.
SS and stimulus both came in this morning. Now if there was just somewhere to go and get stuff I'd go and get stuff. We need paper towels. The ones I got from Ace Hardware are as absorbent as plastic. You can move water around with them but the towels stay dry and the table top stays wet. I assume these are the ones Bounty uses in their commercials as the bad competition. I may go hunting but don't know where to look for paper products. I haven't seen any in weeks.
Cold and wet here today so maybe I'll just stay inside.
Stay safe and well.

Made fried rice for dinner, lots of veggies in it. And sorry, bruce--I got nine rolls today, about $2.40/each. We mostly use them in the kitchen.

Today the morning was cold and I ran extra miles on the trails. The deer stand close enough to the trails, I could almost reach out and touch them.
" Reach out and touch somebody's hand, make this a better world, if you can."
Talk about your out of step lyric.

We made a successful trip to Walmart today. We were masked and gloved, as were many of the customers and employees. We don't normally buy many groceries there, but Mr. H had to pick up two prescriptions, so this was our weekly trip. Had not been grocery shopping for 12 days. Found TOILET PAPER! Also eggs, milk, a fair selection of fresh produce plus canned and frozen vegies and fruit. Got some pork ribs, which surprised me due to the recent news on pork processing plants.
This afternoon is a Zoom meeting with our social club. This is almost more excitement than I can stand in one day.

Sue went grocery shopping and found TP too. How about that !
I've been to Lowes, the big box hardware place for misc. I don't wear a mask. I figure they aren't good at blocking incoming. They do block outgoing effluent. And I don't have the Corona so I'm not a threat. I do wear some gloves. Not medical gloves. And I don't wash them with every use. But it's something. I do thoroughly wash my hands when I do come home.

Another day of zoom, zoom zoom. I've got four of them tomorrow. If the weather would turn, I could at least do it outside.

And I don't have the Corona so I'm not a threat. Marshall, you are an educated man, I’m sure you know what asymptomatic means. People who have no symptoms are spreading the virus. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I had a pretty productive day. First off, I picked up my guitars and ukes from David, who was kind enough to store them for the last two+ months, while we lived in the trailer. I also picked up a few of his instruments, to store while he has his floors redone on the lower level of his house, (They are heading out of town as he can’t walk on the floors for a week while they are being done) so now our spare bedroom is officially a music room. It was nice to see him, if only for a few minutes, separated by social distancing, kind of weird, I will remain hopeful that someday we can go back to more normal interactions. Then Freddie’s/Kroger delivered a boatload of groceries to the house, so we are set for the next week or longer. Now if we’d just get the fridge... Mike

It was 47 when I left the house this morning, wearing fleece, and high 70s by mid-afternoon. That's the desert for you.

Went to work again this morning. Management started requiring masks on the production floor on Monday. All we've got are the home made type that some of our employees have been sewing to relieve anxiety in the evenings. Got a cool Guns and Roses one with skulls and roses on a black background. Been trying to wear it but it fogs glasses. And everybody on the floor is required to wear safety glasses. So everyone has theirs pulled down under their nose.
So I went over to Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart at lunch to see if anybody still had the garden variety masks with the little metal strip over the nose to prevent blow back. Nope. Still all sold out. But masks of some kind in the stores are getting more common. Maybe about a third of folks. So there's that.
And then I heard about the calamity brewing in my home state of Michigan under Governor Whitless. Hmmm.... We had Governor Northam's gun rights battle here in Virginia a few months ago and now Michigan's risking calling out the National Guard to keep folks from cutting their grass. I'm so proud......
So day number 23,000 or so of not sheltering at home. And, dammit, I'm just as unsick as folks who've been hiding at home for weeks. Go figure.
Couldn't script it better if I tried.
