Don't you think it was too much work to show that much intelligence and empathy? To string all those ideas together so nicely? To go so far beyond the 140 character limit?
He should've just plagiarized a bill pullman movie speech, superimposing his head and peopling the audience with sycophants.

I enjoyed Obama graduation speech. It was a little like Independence 4th flick. It have to be sappy and positive.
Our new president has any speeches with schools yet? I’d like to hear something brief and I don’t want his face. Okay.

I just read that, and thought it was mighty fine. One thing that crossed my mind was the age of most of the soldiers in WW II. Many of them were as young as our recent graduates, yet they became known as the greatest generation. May the generation graduating now prove to be the same. Give them some respect and some space and they very well might.

Clear, thoughtful, well-written. What's not to like?

He could have left the politics out but he's a friggin' Democrat loser. If winning the popular vote and White House twice and being more popular and more trusted than the guy who took office after you is a sign of a “loser,” I’ll take that brand of losing all day long.

No, he's a winner. For sure he's a winner. Like Belichick and Brady, the former president and his press had an incredible run.

Is this about Obama? I thought he was dead.
Oh well, I guess I can just go back to not caring.

Interesting. You have chosen the 2 Presidents who have won the Nobel Peace Prize. ...while doing nothing that resulted in peace. Those are participation trophies.

From the Nobel committee on President Carter's award.
“his decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development.”
On Obama's
Obama has as President created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama’s initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.

So, Carter got it for effort not results. That's a participation trophy. Obama got it for apologizing to the rest of the world for the existence of the U.S. Since they are anti-U.S. they thanked him by awarding a participation trophy. After that he inspired ISIS.

No doubt he is in the minority- quelle surprise. I'm not going to question President Carter. I don't think he was a bad as they say and he did try. When did they hang the medal around Obama's neck? Second week in his presidency? Before either of them had done anything Obama gets the NPP and Trump gets a Special Prosecutor. The documents proving it was all horseshit are being de-classified and published almost daily (if any of you care to keep up). Even "the Russians hacked the DNC" is not a reliable fact (again recently released testimonies taken under oath at the congressional hearings). In case you would like to look it up the President of Crowdstrike testified that there was no evidence they were exfiltrated (stolen) and no hard evidence the Russians had anything to do with it. The "Intelligence" professionals that said they did also said one thing under oath before Congress and the exact opposite on CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, NYT, et al. I wouldn't believe them if they said the sky is blue. Good old Barry. It's hard to be a loser when you have 90% of the press for your sycophant lapdogs. But, all that said, he does give a great speech. Maybe one of the best ever. Kudos to him, yay!
