Good morning. It's just getting light here. I'll shower and be at the grocery around 6:00 for senior hour, then attend a church men's breakfast meeting via Zoom.
Most people I know aren't changing their ways as things open up but I sense a less grumpy mood in the air. That's good.
Enjoy your day.

New a/c for the kid's room just delivered. The previous one stuck out an inch and a half past the windowsill, thereby violating FDNY code because this is one of two windows on the fire escape. I went through a whole over-the-phone process with a sales rep and took copious measurements for him to narrow it down to an appropriate and correct sized model. I hope that his calculations were correct. We may not be able to unbox and install until tomorrow afternoon. We did purchase the 5-year protection plan, so if things don't work out... I would rather by a new a/c than pay a fine to the Dept of Buildings, which would be a whole lot more.
Wishing everyone a pleasant and virus-free day.
If I am not mistaken, Gene Cornish was playing a Gibson Barney Kessel, one of my fave oddball guitars from the 1960s.

I don't know why, but this post reminded me of your wonderful recording of Steve Earle's "Fort Worth Blues." Was that part of the CD we made for Christine's husband after she died? I have a copy of that here somewhere.

My daughter's birthday. Can't go see her but we'll have a long phone conversation this evening. 56 degrees at the cabin this morning. I'll be having fresh moral mushrooms in my omelet this morning, whenever I get enough ambiance to fix it. Meanwhile while there's coffee, lots of coffee.

I'm just sayin'.

That was the project. I did that song on a little hand held digital recorder with the on board mic. I was a better player then.

Good morning.
We'll get into the 60s with less wind today. I'll take it. Started cleaning the pool cover out again this morning. I had it clean Monday but leaves and rose petals filled it up again. I have lots of branches to pick up but I'll wait 'til the wind dies out or it will be a wasted effort.
Have a safe Thursday.

Blue skies right now, even though forecast rain shower later, looks like outdoor chores will take precedence.
Better days y'all

We all were better players then. I am going to dig that out of the CD album (my spouse made me ditch the jewel cases years ago, and for the sake of domestic harmony, I submitted) and listen to it today.

Over cast with some blue showing here and there, forcast is for rain showers. Had a really nice phone chat with a nurse yesterday at Kaiser’s anti coagulation clinic. My blood is a little too thin and we discussed the effects of stress and staying home that could be in play. We both agreed that the current conditions suck. Anyway, it was a nice moment of human contact with a stranger.
Today, I’m going out for some fresh veggies and fruit, and some fire starter cubes fir the Traeger, which is on its last legs after about 15 years of service. The hot rod which is supposed to light it has failed, and replacing it costs around 35 bucks. No biggie, but the metal plate heat baffle is also rusting through, and that’s another 65 bucks, and I could replace that too, but the body of the grill is rusting through also, with a hole about the size of a dime that I’ve plugged with aluminum foil, and the grill isn’t getting as hot as it should, and the body is not replaceable. So next month I think I’m buying a new pellet grill. Maybe.

Good morning.
Just rolled out of bed and got angry looks from the cats for disturbing their morning nap at the insane hour of 8:30. DaWife let them in at 6:30 when she got up and they piled on top of me. As soon as I got up I got yelled/spoken to for leaving the shop lights on, again. Looks to be overcast out there, maybe rain. Doesn't matter as I'm not going anywhere.

Morning. Back to the farm to plant pumpkins (and squash and gourds). Again. Went up yesterday. Rototilled the gardens. Went to get the seeds. Discovered I had brought the wrong box of seeds. Fuch. So, back again this morning.

Gorgeous day. The kind of day that confirms our choice to move to rural NH. I've got Chuck binge watching keeping me from being grumpy, but it's irritating Maureen a touch. A stones throw from the end of the show. 5 seasons, 20 episodes a season. Talk about bingeing. Mike, I get to break up my social distancing with calls to my patients. I come off those calls much happier than I went in. These years of long term relationships with patients are wonderful. Used to play Good Love with Scott back in the apres ski daze days. A lot of fun. Scott and the crowds would really get into it.
