Quilted maple top and bottom, torrefied spruce sides with ebony purfling. Not sure what material the resonator is made of. Made by one of my guitar school classmates.

Love it! That is the classiest kazoo I have seen.
Do you find that the torrefied spruce sides makes it sound like genuine 1930 kazoos?

David, what does a 1930s Kazoo sound like?
I'm thinking there are two required skills when it comes to playing the Kazoo, which is a reed instrument, and making it sound good. One is proper breathing technique, which includes the ability to control the force of air, and the other being the ability to be able to vocalize in tune.
I'd love to hear a recording, John. I'm serious here!

The ideal instrument for a close-knit kazoo ensemble to gather around a condenser mike amid a pandemic!
