Apple crumble pie, with whipped cream, raspberries, and aged gouda. Ah..... Because, well, i fell over yesterday, twisted my ankle, which resulted in a chipped bone in my ankle, the end of my tibia. Emergency was emptier than i have ever seen it. I was in and out in an hour including xrays.

Inversion injury. Functionally more like an ankle sprain than a fracture.

Inversion injury. Functionally more like an ankle sprain than a fracture. It’s not too bad. Doc said they had a range of reactions. Some people can’t walk, I’m in a small amount of pain. A little higher and it would have been in the joint, at which point they would have done more serious repairs. Talk to orthopaedic surgeon this week sometime.

My neighbor suggested I get a little bell so I could ring for beer. I’m hoping Susan gave him a decent burial, and didn’t just dump the body in their yard.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that boot is not at all stylish.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but that boot is not at all stylish. Learnings on how it functions as well. Trying to walk in one with the other foot bare, when the sole of the thing is an inch or so thick, results in constantly feeling unstable, which, with a broken bone, is not a good feeling.

How high is the heel on that boot? Could you pass it off as a rather large cowboy boot? More importantly, is there any pie left?

Looks something like a ski boot. That is a perfectly acceptable breakfast. It has fruit and dairy, so it's well balanced.
More info needed. Fell over while walking, bicycling, skateboarding, standing still?

Fell over while walking, bicycling, skateboarding, standing still? Just walking. Construction area, just a small pothole, maybe an inch deep. Enough to make me roll my ankle. Which normally affects me not at all, but something popped, and I went down. Knew I'd done something bad right away.

More importantly, is there any pie left? To avoid the trouble of having you come all the way up here, I just ate the last piece.... LJ, LJ? You haven't left yet, have you? Oh, darn.....

Get another boot, put it on the other foot, and call it a fashion statement. Maybe give 'em a lizardskin paint job.

Rick, I hope that the orthopedic surgeon can get you fixed up soon and that all goes well. Bummer at any time, worse with the added stress and logistics of the pandemic.
