Along with a pandemic, nationwide demonstrations, and an economy that is circling the commode, today is also the fourth anniversary of the death of my father, who was a celebrated photojournalist and photographed almost everyone in the news from 1957 through 1988. Here he is pictured with some of the framed prints from a show he had in 1970. One of the few times he allowed me to photograph him...
Here's to Bobbie Lee Gentry. Stay safe, everyone, and have a pleasant day.

Good morning. It'll be another very hot day but by Saturday temperatures will drop about fifteen degrees. Nothing interesting to report. Have a good day.

Great photo, Howard. It looks as if your dad was mimicking the pose of the photo over his left shoulder. You have very rich roots.
It's pretty cold up here in Grand Lake this morning 9000 feet. Beautiful, crisp mountain air.
Going on a dope run to Tabernash later on. Getting it for my cancer patient buddy

Took it easy today, walked the dog of course, but also got out for my usual loop on a bike, just over 90min--and the wind was pretty cooperative. And finally put away a few more winter things.

Moving rocks in the hot sun. That was yesterday. The local gravel pit sells 4"-10" rocks for $40 a ton and we went and loaded up a ton to line some garden beds yesterday.
Post office orientation was moved to next Tuesday.

Good morning, y'all.
So it looks like a tropical weather system will start heading toward the US gulf coast. Just what we need.

Good morning Fair nights sleep but I will still nap later. Unlike Bill's fancy cuisine I'm having a couple of breakfast bars and a V-8. Guitar work is going slowly but I've allowed people to drop off very simple stuff to do while at the same time I'm working on my own guitars. I'll be getting to the major work as soon as my hands are back in shape. Speaking of which, I haven't had any IBU in the last 24 hours. I'm not totally painless but just haven't seen the need for it. Good morning.
A few pea-stones got washed into the pool during the pressure washing yesterday and the only way to get them out without taking a chance of causing a drain blockage with the vacuum is to put on a mask and dive for them. The water's still cold but it's going to be a hot day so maybe I'll mow, get good and hot and sweaty and talk myself into swimming. I know, first world problem.
Have a safe Wednesday.

If the county moves to phase 2 recovery my contractor expects to start in a week or so. Here's hoping.
Better days y'all

That was sixty-four years ago this coming August. I’m guessing the area looks a little different now.
