I'm jealous. What did you talk about? Was a bodyguard or her dad there or something? It was at the Old Town School after a performance and she was doing a greet & meet in the lobby. I talked to her about her newest recording-newest at the time-,her octave mandolin, and that fact my wife has relatives with the same last name. Just pleasant small talk. She was open & friendly. The nice thing about the Old Town School is that, after the concerts, you can often meet and talk to performers. I have met a number of artists that way.
When I was 18, I met Salvador Dali on 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue. He twitched his head, flicked his cape, and kept walking.

I sat next to Robert De Niro at The Congress Hotel bar in Tucson. (Cool bar). We did infinitesimal head tilts towards each other, as kindred spirits and soul brothers do.
