Since I was discharged from the hospital on April 4th I have refused to drive, feeling my reaction time too slow to be a safe driver. Today I drove to the Pharmacy, no problem, felt nice and I was not worried at all. We are going north to Uncle Bill's cabin soon which is why I wanted to test my driving skills. My Ford is needed to haul groceries on the way up and trash on the way back. No internet or phone at the cabin so I'll be out of touch unless we go to town (Crosslake, 10 miles) and use the Library WiFi. I'll have a grandson or 3 staying at our place to take care of the cats and the fucking fish. Grandson Tyler is already planning projects as he will have full use of my shop while we are gone. Rustic but nice. Cabin on left built in the 60s, the one on the right from the 30s and now used as storage for lawn care and boating equipment.

Marty, I'm glad you're recovering so well. I'm sure it's not all fun but you're getting better.

Lovely. Reminds me of the places I’ve stayed throughout my life near Park Rapids and Bemidji.
I’m envious.

There's something recuperative about a Minnesota lake cabin. Have a great time!

There's something recuperative about a Minnesota lake cabin. Have a great time! Indeed Dave. We do have well water and electricity but no phone unless you walk out to the road where you can be in line sight of a far away tower. Uncle Bill's has been in DaWife's family since the 1940s. Bill is Cheri's brother and he bought it from their grandmother's estate. Her will allowed any of the family to buy the place and if not it would be sold off, so Bill did and made a good offer which really pissed off one of the cousins who wanted to buy it cheap, put up a new house and sell it again. Developed lake property is big bucks. Bill has kept it in the family and shares the place with everybody. We do several trips in to Crosslake to booster our supplies or go to the Library and we have several going to town traditions my girls like to uphold, the rather good pizza parlor, mini golf and a ice cream shop, something I enjoy. The girls can order for me because I get the same flavor every time, licorice, and they make it very well.

Rustic, charming, recovery, Mother’s Nature Enjoy it Marty.
Georgian Bay Ontario Canada I loved this little private island with the cottage no power just a canoe and boats and fishing and swimming. And skies are just amazing. Near Parry Sound and San Souci - a marina grocery. It was only three months. They were just vacation cabins. I think it’s all yearly.
It was a 99 lease - the Queen‘s land in England

My In Laws had a condo at Manhattan Beach, Cross Lake, MN.for many years. I spent a lot of time there, not too far from where I grew up, rural Randall, MN., love the lake area.

Hey Marty we are doing an outdoor Patsy gig in Crosslake in August. You’ll have to plan another trip then.
