Firing up the diesel in a bit. Will run it to fog the skeeters then off to Pueblo for lumber and other greenhouse whatnot.
Later today, a visit from our oldest friend and her two daughters that we have known since they were brand new. One will be sporting a new husband we haven't met yet.
cheers

Good morning.
Supposed to be cooler today, maybe only 85. I have the pool all cleaned up and expect to use it later.
Have a safe Wednesday.

Wife just got a phone call with a "no interview" offer to work downtown (G Street headquarters) for basically a sweet retirement gig. Will handle the border wall and Arlington cemetery.
She asked me what I thought and I said it's not my choice to make but she'd be insane to turn it down.
Commuting on the Metro! Woot woot!

Happy little clouds in the sky.
Gonna see if i can loosen the bolts holding the bed on the old pickup in an attempt to avoid pulling the fuel tank so i can replace the fuel pump. Someday i hope to do this kind of work on something other than a gravel driveway.
Trying not to get my hopes up but the contractor says the house will be here midday on 7/14. Practicing my happy dance.
Better days y'all

Good morning
Doc has me wearing wrist braces while sleeping and I'll be damned if I'm not sleeping better and with less pain. Enough so that I'm taking a lot less IBU, win, win.
Late getting down to the shop and I now have two bridges to make. Best get to it, the wolf is at the door, more about that later.

Shortly after I posted by phone I got the computer fixed. Now I can be long-winded.
My in-laws are in a retirement home in Tempe. So far retirement homes haven't been all that hard-hit by the virus but we learned last night that, at my in-laws' place, the director and several employees have tested positive. My in-laws are quite old and I don't think either will have much chance if they get infected.
A new wildfire broke out about a half-hour's drive north of my house. I gather Kramster now lives up there and got an order to evacuate but his Facebook post wasn't entirely clear in that regard. Mine wouldn't be either under those circumstances.
PS: Mark has since posted again and he did have to evacuate but he's safe.

50 more feet of "anti beaver" fence installed this morning, wanted to do a little more, but I need to do some chainsaw work first.

I guess I would have been tempted to reach for a scoped .223. Beavers need predators, too. And in many places, their natural ones are gone.

There's a rumor on the island of someonne releasing a beaver from a boat onto the island, I'd be more likely to believe a large sea otter, but will be watching for tell tale signs of the toothy varmint.
