Spending the morning in my art studio. Planning to work on some background pieces that I can then reproduce for my greeting cards.
I was invited to a Milwaukee Accordion Club (MAC) member's farm for a get together and jam this afternoon. I am so excited. I have never played on a farm before. I took a drive past it yesterday. It is about 15 miles from my home. It is in New Berlin, WI. The farm is on a man made lake. The accordion player who owns the farm and organized the get together said, "Bring your instruments and your fishing poles." LOL!
I plan to bring my concertina. I think I will leave my fishing pole at home. Good Grief.
The farm has a huge red barn. My favorite kind. I hope I can find someone to take a photo of me playing by the barn. LOL!
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning.
We'll be back in the 90s today which makes outdoor work uninteresting. We're following the hurricane I still can't pronounce and they've downgraded it to a tropical storm, which is good but they've also changed the track so it's supposed to go west of us and that's not good. I wanted it to bounce off North Carolina and go out to sea but they say it's taking Rte 95 up the coast all the way to Maine. It should be here Tuesday morning and move quickly Northeast. Picking up the branches from the last storm, which I've procrastinated, may not be worth the effort today anyway.
Mary signed up for an on-line quilting class and then found out it was a Zoom thing. I haven't used Zoom but suddenly it was an issue. Fortunately my son was able to walk me through it over the phone last night and we got it working on her laptop so I think it will work. It was pretty easy really. My son has the admin version so he was able to set up the meeting and e-mail me the link.
Have a safe Sunday and when you exhale face east and try to blow this storm out to sea, please.

Raining out there. Feeling a bit better this morning. We shall proceed with caution.

Well, yesterday was fun. Everyone enjoyed everyone even from a distance. They asked me to be louder. I think that's good. As I was quite loud for me. It was gorgeous weather, except for the end where the sun poked through the tree I was under and warmed my picking hand, almost uncomfortably.

Bruce, I hope the storm avoids you.
Good morning, all. We've come home to a high heat warning that runs through tomorrow. After that it will simply be hotter than normal. This morning there's a definite monsoonish feel but there's no rain predicted.
Enjoy your day.

Up in time to catch the start of the British Grand Prix, which prolly will be a cakewalk for Brit Lewis Hamilton, on the pole once again. It's fun to watch a live event from so many time zones away, and the sun is shining, amazing. A Spitfire just did a flyover, which is fitting because the Silverstone track was an airfield in wartime days.
I'm plotting out a little road trip for later in the day, might investigate a cluster of wineries in not-too-far-away Waconia, Minn. Anyone want to be Designated Driver?

Dar'n'me needed some looking after yesterday, so Mollie said she'd take care of us while her folks were away in Wisconsin for the day. Not a bad way to spend the day -- up on Big Barbee. A little picking, lots of Mollie grinning. Long walks. (even a surprise ghost visitor next door). Who'd have guessed we could tire young Mollie out?

Thx for the pics John.
This whole COVID thing is messing with me. I spent all of yesterday in a pissy mood for no reason I could think of, and being rude to Nita and the world in general. I’m just tired of it all, not being able to travel, see friends, go to restaurants, stress in grocery stores when others don’t mask properly or keep their distance...just sick of the whole thing. And I have it good. No issues with not being able to afford food, or rent, or healthcare. So...I got that going for me. :/
Meanwhile, the truck will get washed this am, and then a bike ride.
Mike

Good morning.
Sitting here having coffee from our new Mr Coffee maker. That's what we went to Walmart for and ended up with a new car, see yesterdays Daily.
After 2 fancy smancy Kruieg makers that crapped out after less than a year we've gone back to the cheap ones. So we will have a cheap pod brewer and a carafe brewer that take up about the same counter space at 1/10 the cost and we probably won't have to replace for years. Even if we do have to replace one after a year they are a hell of a lot more cost effective, and they work just fine.
Now for some breakfast.
Pine Island 92F.

I am watching, wondering if Ricciardo is going to get into the top five, and how Grosjean keeps a seat in F1. And what Ferrari is going to do with Vettel.

The coffee is vile.

Made a spur of the moment decision and now I'm at my cabin. Coffee in hand, no real plans, just needed a change in scenery.
