Looks like he ruptured his quads and then his knees may have dislocated. That smarts!
I bet he was on a ton of anabolic steroids. I always wondered how Tiger Woods could tear his ACL and MCL swinging a golf club. Steroids will do that to a guy. You do have to grow a beard to cover up the acne.

Years ago, there was a story in the paper about some of the things the Huskers do to test recruits. One that I thought was cool was measuring knees, elbows, ankles, etc. I think the idea was you can do a lot to bulk yourself up, but you can't do anything about your basic structure. I've known quite a few gym rats who made themselves huge, but are walking around on skinny little ankles Cinderella would envy.
