So Heather and I are getting married on October 3rd. Last check off on my list is getting a new liver. Have good ones. "Marriage is an honorable estate, instituted by for the proper continuance and well-being of mankind." At our age, the "proper continuance" part is out the window. But the well-being part is on the money. Congrats. And prayers.

I'm going outside to cut the grass -- something that hasn't been necessary for over three weeks. Admittedly, it will be a little like cutting Wallace Shawn's hair, still, I get to ride on the mower (the line trimming is already done).

Looks like rain today. Cloudy & cool—like maybe fall isn’t all that far away. Enjoy some aspect of the day.

Good morning from Mexico 79° Cloudy Buenos Dias Congratulations Dan and the prayer also.
This little gem that I found it on my Facebook Wall 9/12/2018
Where We Belong - with a circle of friendship We get drag into the past, which we can lead to depression, or we can anxious about the future, which lead to fear. Conscious breathing returns us to the here and the now, where we are now belong.

Congratulations, Dan. I'll be hoping for the new liver.
Good morning, everyone. We'll have 60s-90s with haze from the California fires. Younger daughter is driving back to the Bay Area today and may have a smoky trip. I was out photographing bees earlier and now have to go turn soil. Enjoy your day.

The news is saying the left coast has the worst air quality in the world. I blame Sanford and Townsen, you know, that whole Smoke From A Distant Fire thing.
They weather is definitely cooler, which hopefully will help the firefighters.
Congrats to Dan, and best wishes.
Another day of staying inside, trying to avoid breathing.
Mike
On Edit: Good news from Lincoln City. They have downgraded the level three evac notice to level two, at Roads end. Which I think is where David’s new vacation home is.

I wanted to go with my groceries and I forgot my mask. I cupped my hand with my nose and my mouth And I made sure nobody was touched me. At least six feet - I was very carefully So I decided I’ll wait for the groceries later.

Yes Mike, the Echo Fire by Lincoln City has stopped heading toward the city, but is 0% contained. I hear the Chehalis fire by you is 50% contained and Newberg is safe.
Darned smoky in Beaverton!
I'm at the office today for a couple hours to try to get a handle on some work.
Best of luck with finding a new liver and with your wedding Dan.

Congrats Dan. Horrified by the fires. Seems apocalyptic.
Another great Tour finish in Lyon. We were three for a stage finish in 2003. Recognized a few landmarks. Tomorrow’s stage will be a decisive one.
Remains damp and cold here but better weather looms.

Congratulations, Dan. We're happy for you! Still pulling for the liver to come in, but getting married sounds like a great thing to do while waiting.
David and Mike Wonder, it's got to be bad out there. But it's good to hear that besides the smoke you're safe so far, and not needing to evacuate yet.
