Good morning
Well I thought I had everything we needed for a few days, nope. So I'll have to go out this morning before the weather gets nasty. Looks like snow/sleet combo and possible freezing rain. As long as it doesn't become a condition that I've seen twice in MN, a ice storm. I'll take a blizzard any day over a ice storm.

Good morning!
I just found out that Christine Heard passed away at the end of August. 🙁 I picture her and Doug and Dennis playing (...was it Bridge or Cribbage???) together way up yonder.
Rainy and chilly here. Need more coffee!
Blessings. ❤️

Fooking snow up the wazoo. Six yesterday, another six last night. It is really pretty though and I may have to strap on the skinny skis and head to the trails this afternoon.

Hosting a small dinner party tonight. I brought out my "good dishes," the beautiful Polish Stoneware set that Lar bought me. Waterford Crystal for the wine. Tonight will be the first time I'll cook for anyone other than myself since......

Wearing long pants for the first time in a long time this morning. Frost on to roof tops here. Almost out of coffee. Got to go to a FREDDIES/Kroger.

Spent the day winterizing. Storms on. Plants tucked away. Garden shed organized and packed. Hoses drained and stored. Mulch placed. Carrots dug. Gutters cleaned. Snow tires mounted. Pizza ordered. Went to bed all set and ready for the big snow.
Woke up, no snow. Doesn't look like there will be any, either. It's all south of here. Looks like it might get within 40 miles, but unless another system rolls through, we'll have to wait.

It is sunny and 76°F here in tropical central Indiana. It is predicted to reach 80°F by 3:00 p.m. EDT.
Houses here are much cheaper than in Montana.

Dang, the basement flooded. About inch and a half. I put in a new sump pump a couple of weeks ago. The float stuck. (even though I made sure it was free of any incumberances.) I went down this morning and saw the lake. I went over to the pit and jiggled the pump and it turned on. Evacuated the basement in an hour. Now I have to go down and clean up the mess. It's an unfinished basement. Mostly just storage. But I have some carpet remnants and carpet pads laying around so I can get to exercise equipment and my shop bench. Some cardboard boxes on the floor. Now I've got to go down there and muck out the place.

Good afternoon. Sorry to hear about Chris Heard.
We just got back from Flagstaff. Good trip, good to be home. Flagstaff is supposed to get hit with the first winter blast on Sunday or Monday so we apparently enjoyed the last pleasant weather of the year up there.

Set them on the driveway and poked a hole in the bottom so they'd drain some. The sump pump came on and emptied nicely 7 or 8 or more times since then. Purred like a kitten. Don't know what the problem was. I'll have to take it out over the weekend and grease the float rod or something to make sure the stinkin' thing doesn't catch again.

A fellow downstate who got flooded a few times put in two sump pumps when he built--one electric and one water-powered, just in case.
