Oregon State beat University of Oregon tonight. That never happens. This is like the first time in a million years or something.
So congrats Beavers! I’ll bet Sky High, a brewery restaurant in Corvallis is going nuts right now.

Man, I thought this was some epic fantasy thing, like Watership Down or something like that. I was thinking the beavers were slapping those birds around with their tails.

Maybe each team could lend a quarterback to the broncos?

I am a Beaver alum but I did not see the game (The Ducks have won 11 of the last 12 games and were projected to win this one by at least two touchdowns. the Ducks were rated 15 in the nation. The lowly Beavers were not rated).
Not knowing whether the news reports of the Beavers' win was accurate, I texted to a few of the boastful, proud Duck faithful who I know are big football fans, you know, just to make certain that the news reports of a Beaver upset were correct.
It seems that none of them saw the game.

Anita (another Oregon State school of pharmacy alum) looked at me and said, right. Within minutes of starting the third quarter, the Beavers intercepted and scored. Then they stopped the Ducks and were ahead by two. Then the Ducks scored and we were behind. With 31 seconds to go in the game, on the third down about one foot from the goal line, the Beaver quarterback went down with a leg injury on a quarterback sneak and was out of the game. Fourth down, one foot to go and the backup quarterback takes his FIRST SNAP EVER in a college football game. And scores. Beavs win. It was nuts. Mike
