I just got rid of my directv after 24 years. It was costing me 150.00 a month. I'm going to stream all my tv now. Now it will be about 40.00 a month with 7 different streaming apps. I should of done this years ago. At times there wasn't a thing I wanted to watch on directv.

Getting very close to doing that at our house. Still have a few months on the DirecTV contract. I can imagine what it would take to cancel early. We spent way too many hours getting our bill straightened out when we made the "simple" move of service to a new house. Our latest gripe is that 2 local channels are not available because DirecTV and the owner of the stations couldn't come to a price agreement. It's TEGNA, which owns several stations across the country. www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2020/12/02/tv-directv-tegna-dispute-results-channel-outages-51-markets/3794473001/Yes, they're local stations, so we can get them over the air. But we can't record to watch later like we normally do. When we abandon DirecTV, we will have to solve the problem of one local channel that we can't pick up without installing an antenna in the attic. Will also have to solve the recording problem. Seven different apps sounds about right.
