If I put that on my food, I'd likely HAVE to run.

News you can use! I have sons that are all hot sauce fans. Pricing multiple bottles on Amazon ...
$22.99 for a case of 3, 9.8 oz bottles
$52.27 for a case of 6, 9.8 oz bottles
Fuzzy math ...

If I put that on my food, I'd likely HAVE to run. Try Cholula, great flavors and a nice warmth as long as you don't slather half a bottle on something. The Habanero is HOT but the Lime and Garlic flavors are mild and very nice for those not use to hot sauce. EDIT: I started a new hot sauce thread without thinking about this one because I sort of sidelined my own Holy of Holy's thread. That thread has been deleted, please carry on.

This green Yellowbird sauce is actually fairly mild. LOTS of flavor and only stings a little. They make other spicier flavors.

Chinses BBQ pork dipped in yellow hot sauce. I love that but I generally start sneezing just prior to swallowing, which tends to get messy.

They make other spicier flavors There are a TON of hot sauces out there, maybe more sauces than people that like hot sauce. My current inventory is 3 kinds of Cholula, original, garlic and green, Tabasco green and Sriracha, I used up the Chili Bill long ago. I ordered some 2 Go bottles for taking your favorite hot sauce with you, nice to not have to carry a whole bottle. I think I'll have a look see at the hot sauce section next time I'm shopping for some Yellowbird or Hatch Green sauce. I'm not into the Diablo Breath or Devil's Spit, 10meg Scoville, how hot can you make it type sauces, I want flavor too.

Mr. H and I love Cholula chipotle. So far have only found it at Walmart and only in 5 ounce bottles. A 5 ounce bottle of hot sauce is some kind of joke.

It depends on the food.
For instance, if it is a chicken broth (or any light oriental broth) I prefer regular old Siracha. I want a neutral hot sauce with a flavor that doesn't overly color the light broth. Beef broths, on the other hand, can handle anything I want to throw on them. A fun one on beef and summer sausage is Melinda's Amarillo mustard. It's a treat. On omelets, I can use them all, with one exception, I do not like Cry Baby James, it is too sharp and "pickley", there is a lot of vinegar in that stuff (vinegar is the #1 ingredient, there is more vinegar in it by weight than peppers, and that is not right, that is gimmickry in an attempt to achieve some separation in a crowded field).
And my preferences move around. For instance, a year ago, within the Cholua family, my least favorite on eggs was the Chipotle. Didn't care for it. Too smoky. But now, I can't get enough of it. I could stick a straw in the bottle and slurp it down. My omelet yesterday was slathered with it (with a few dollops of the green sauce for some spark).
We do live in a wonderful world.

I've eaten this mustard habanero on something almost every day for the last 3-4 years. The Yellow Bird green sauce is just as fantastic IMO but different. An earthy lime veggie thing with a simiar heat to the Melinda's

The reason it is pickley is because it is made without any cooking whatsoever, but it was not a gimmick used to stand out in a field. A Twin Cities chef had ordered some bell peppers for the restaurant he was working at, and the supplier brought him habaneros by mistake. After they sat around a while, he decided to pickle them before they went bad. Then he pureed and seasoned them and bottled the result for his co-workers as hot sauce. They loved the stuff, and things snowballed from there.
The fact that there IS no cooking involved greatly reduces the time, expense and health-rule requirements, making for a streamlined and very successful business. I liked CBC's initially, but the bloom has gone off the garlic.

I tried some of the Crybaby's after Bill mentioned it awhile back. Good and unique but not OMG to my taste buds.

We stayed a couple nights in a Bed & Breakfast in Quray. On a buffet table in the dining room was the craziest assortment of hot sauces you could try. There had to 40 or 50 different little bottles. I didn't know which one to try first. They made scrambled eggs quite exotic.

You all have heard me state tha DaWife and I are going to the Little Oven for breakfast. Most of the time we order the same thing, because we love it, Messy eggs. We split a order because it is so large, plenty for two.
Messy eggs are three eggs, scrambled with bacon, ham, onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese, served with crispy golden hash browns.
Tell me that is not the perfect breakfast combo to enhance with a good hot sauce.
They have original Cholula in stock but now with my little travel bottles I can have some Cholula Chipotle or Green.
And, unlike many places, they have good coffee.
