Met a new friend a couple of years back who plays guitar, and he and some old friends have recorded music together remotely for many years. They got a bit more serious this past while. This is an album of original acoustic songs they recorded over the last year, passing the tracks around, loading them into logic, recording new tracks then passing those back to whomever is doing the mixing. I play some lead guitar, some bass, some percussion, and sing some background vocals. It's good tunes. soundcloud.com/hearageandooperative/sets/the-covid-sessions

I listened to the first two, I'll listen to the rest when I have time. That is some really nice stuff! Very easy, very listenable, some obvious thought put into it all. It must be an honor to be a part of that group, very well done. I like it!

I like it because it’s got a good beat and you can dance to it.

Technical problems. Will have another go tomorrow. There will be some sick rap stylings I presume? 🙂

I like it because it’s got a good beat and you can dance to it. Mike I’m not sure, Mike, how exactly you dance. I’m not sure I want to know.

VERY nice. The songs are nicely done, the vocals are clear and pleasant, the instrumentation is supportive and not in the way and the production (to my non-tech ears) is very good. I want to steal your violin player.
Two thoughts, though, if I may, and they have nothing to do with the actual music. The first is the name, Garage Band Collective. My fear is that some might think of GarageBand, the software, and not understand just how real and organic this music is.
The second is the album name. EVERYONE is doing something called "the COVID sessions" or some variation on that theme. Again, my fear is that something you've created that is very real and organic will just get viewed through a pandemic lens. This is an excellent record even without a pandemic.
Very good work and something to be very proud of.

Very good work and something to be very proud of. Lol. Tx, Dave. It’s not my band, and they’ve been calling themselves that for decades, as that’s what they used to record with. No one in this has any delusions of doing more with this at this time, they just finally decided to put out something more than CDs, Tony and Terry are old fashioned that way, and not fans of streaming music; they’d normally just print out CDs and package them nicely, and mail them to everyone they knew. Finally, with this one, a number of people told them not to bother, as they don’t even have a CD player. (They were somewhat shocked to learn this. ) So, you’d have to consider this still to be hobby music, just very well done. They couldn’t even play live, as Terry is in Edmonton, and Tony is on Vancouver Island, and the others are scattered here and there.
