You should get yourself a job as a Fox News anchor (CNN? MSNBC?). Because your innuendo is that the teenager involved could have been acting out of some desire to be cool.Only the right people are allowed to talk about, or have opinions about what we are doing in regards to mental illness, and because I'm known to vote Republican or Libertarian, I obviously lack not just the compassion and understanding, but the intelligence to be allowed an opinion on the matter. . Yeah, I’m sure that’s it. Nobody loves you because you are Republican. Do you sell that fertilizer? I might want some for my roses.

The Subdudes were pretty good, but the time I saw them, I bet they wish they hadn't been there. They were the opening act for Huey Lewis and the News and they ended up playing longer than the main act. Huey Lewis didn't even play a full hour. It was strange. When it was over and everyone was clapping for an encore, we all started looking around at each other like, "...what the....?" Then an announcement came over the speakers that Huey Lewis had left the grounds.

Beyond that, it is my understanding that Terry's implication that mental illness is always and simply physiological is not what the medical community is really saying about it. What I understand is that some of -- maybe even much --mental illness is physiological. But in no way have lifestyle choices and beliefs been ruled out as the cause of mental illness. Not all mental illness is treated physiologically. There are still some behavioral approaches successfully employed. You forgot to mention that the lifestyle choices some make are a direct result of the illness itself. Which means the illness is directing those choices, not a person's rational decision.
