Hello darkness my old friend...
Sticky, sticky. And today will be hot. Hard to sleep in that. I'm hoping our proximity to a bunch of business will mean power sooner than later.

So, via mobile--I guess the cell towers survived and are still powered up.
Chicken soup with veggies, plus salads for dinner, and enough soup leftover for a lunch apiece, plus another dinner.

Good luck to all in the ravaged storm area. Conserve the power in your phones. It may be difficult to get a charge for awhile.
I am up early and partially caffeinated. Barb has an eye exam at 8 & will have to have her eyes dilated so I am the designated driver. It is dark & still outside right now. It should be a little cooler.
Everyone stay safe and well today.

Small But Mighty Songwriters group gathering last night was a success. 9 people took part and we heard a number of new, good songs.
This afternoon is our regularly scheduled practice day.

Good morning. I'll have coffee at 9:00 with an old friend at a place with outside seating. I'll take insect repellent. It'll be cooler today and it'll stay that way for a spell. Showers this afternoon. Obla di, obla da.

Good morning, all.
Ida is dealing us a glancing blow, with heavy rain and occasional high winds. Nothing too bad, though.
Evan, I'm glad you are okay. Hope you get power soon!

Good morning
Shop is dry so I'll try to get some work done. It was dry down there yesterday but between errands and a trip to buddy Milo's place I just plain wore myself out. So Simon and I had a long nap, until dinner time.

Played some golf today. Had to quit early. My strained back was barking too loudly. OUCH that really hurt. Another body part heard from. I see an orthopod back guy on Thursday. **sigh**

Coffee with old farts this am. Then a quick trip to Trader Joe’s. Picked up some Frenched pork chops I’ll sous vide, then sear for dinner tonight with fresh Rosemary compound butter, green beans, and twice baked potatoes.
I keep looking at the lawn wishing it would mow itself.

Back from taking Mr. H for his eye injection. Quite pleasant waiting in the car this time at 80F, heavy overcast, and a breeze. Only got a little rain so far today. Looking at more on the way.
Dinner will be a collection of leftovers with a salad and some kind of bread item. French onion soup, prime rib, grilled chicken, and chile relleno casserole are on the menu.
We hit Trader Joe's yesterday. Scored fresh artichokes, which they haven't had for a while, and yummy figs. Also loaded up on cereals and olives and such.
