Come to think of it.....I wonder how much rain water found it's way into the New York City subway system?
This should give you some sense of what happened:

Something I was planning on doing but ducked out of at crunch time was having my booster be a different vaccine than the first two. I stuck with the same, but I wish I hadn't. My guess is we are going to learn that combining vaccines with different modes of action, like combining one of the mRNA types with a vector type (like the Johnson and Johnson) offers a broader coverage. If by some turn of events and information, I decide to go for #4 five or six months from now, crosspollinating will likely be in the cards.

The subways were shut down, and I was scheduled to work from home anyway. Management gave others the green light to work from home, as well. Mass transit was a mess.
We live on one of the highest points in Brooklyn, so we don't really have too much of an issue with flooding except for some extra water in the basement. The water runs downhill to the lower-lying neighborhoods. This morning on NPR, they announced that more than 500 abandoned cars had been towed to the impound lot. Yesterday was sunny and cool; our street looked as though it hadn't even rained. I guess I'm just a lucky guy.

My Rheumatologist told me the J&J vaccine uses a different mechanism than Pfizer and Moderna. And that she likes it. Seeing as my imune system had an overactive response to the Pfizer, I'll be looking for a J&J if and when I go for a booster.

The only physician I've heard from on this subject said to stick with the same flavor you received when you were initially vaccinated. Whether he knows what he's talking about or not I don't know.

My Rheumie said the opposite
And she’s Russian and MUST be obeyed. Whatever Olga wants, Olga gets.

I got my booster yesterday at Walmart pharmacy, a service I’ve used for many years and, in our area at least, found to be excellent. I am medically qualified for the early booster and was given Moderna because that matches my original inoculation.
Given the forms and questions I had in preparation, I don’t think another brand would have been made available to me although they had Pfizer and another one on hand.
“Enjoying” the usual reactions today.
