Off for a one-nighter get-acquainted voyage in our new-old (2007) camper with experienced RV campers. Jay (who owns a Jayco camper loves to teach and give knowledgeable advice. Gonna be in the upper 40s tonight up there!
42 degrees here. The fireplace is on but the furnace padlock is secure. It is supposed to be in the 70s this week so we are not too concerned—yet! Company for dinner tonight. Lasagna, salad, crusty bread, wine, and probably something else I am forgetting. Live dangerously, take unnecessary risks, and ride the razor’s edge between safety and total destruction today! Or not. You could just enjoy the day instead. Up to you.

It was great to see and jam with Phil and Amana Joe yesterday at West Music.
This weekend is the weekend, following, and closest to, the middle of October. That means it is time to shut the water off at the cabin and drain the pipes.
It's always kind of a sad day, but something that has to be done.
good morning. First cold front of the year came through last night so we were at a pleasantly brisk 66 degrees for my morning bike ride. Florida's best time of the year is arriving. Lazy day today, observation of football, a good book and attempts to make music are on the agenda.
I chose the road less traveled, now where the hell am I?
If your belief system does not include incongruities that astonish, frustrate or befuddle you, it most probably does not include a power higher than you.
Good morning. We're back to normal weather with 60-80s as far as the forecast can see.
We'll skip live church today because it's a special service we have no interest in. Our Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, will be preaching at the cathedral so we'll attend that service virtually. He's good.
We'll be preparing to go to the family reunion this week. These are increasingly rare in my family. The matriarch pretty much forced this one by asking everyone to come for her 80th birthday. The last reunion was when she did the same thing for her 70th. I'm glad she does this. There would be no reunions otherwise.
Warm enough last night that the furnace never kicked on. I have doors open to let in cool morning air. We are not turning the A/C back on. Deciding what to wear to church. Will it be warm or cold? Choir is singing, so I'll probably be too warm when we do that. Layers?
Bought a couple of books at the neighborhood sale yesterday, a stir fry cookbook and a collection of sci fi short stories. Could hear the music from the classic car show when we were outside.
Made a pork roast last night using Justin Wilson's stuffed hole roast recipe. Will post that later.
“Mornin” My Sunday solitude. Today I will wave to few people with a little tiny smile.Enjoy your days.
We look at the outside clues that people show and make up stories. The stories are just stories. Interconnected. Making up stories is what human beings do. But, if we are wise, we can slow down, remember stories and learn.
Back from solo grocery shopping. DaWife is being treated by granddaughters to brunch and what ever they do on a day out. So I get breakfast alone and errands, just me and the cats is just fine. I have plenty to do in the shop or I can nap with a cat.
