I always remember it's my friend Mark's birthday. Acquainted briefly in middle school, we became roomies in military school. Sweet-hearted Mark...
Working my already skinny white butt down to a smooth little nub.

When AAA changed the flat a few weeks ago, they put the spare on so tight I couldn't loosen the lugs. I'm at the tire store getting the tires switched back. Not how I wanted to spend my day off.

'Nuff said this fine morning. I was expecting it to go that way. Just seeing the few clips of the two I saw, McAuliffe looked old and tired, Youngkin looked "moderate" and energetic. In other election news: In Minneapolis, voters rejected a ballot measure that would have dismantled the police department and created a new Department of Public Safety. In the city's mayoral race, embattled incumbent Jacob Frey led in the first round of ranked-choice voting, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's office.
In Buffalo, incumbent Mayor Byron Brown, who lost the Democratic primary to democratic socialist India Walton, ran a write-in campaign against Walton. A poll last week by CBS Buffalo affiliate WIVB had Brown leading by 17 points, and he appeared to be leading by 10,000 votes as of Tuesday night, according to WIVB. - From CBS News I would hope that all of this leads to a more centrist trend in both parties.

Hope springs eternal.
The fact that Trump was kept out of the Virginia thing, and the Socialist person in Buffalo was beat by a write in more moderate pleases me.
I’m easy.

Crisp cool morning here. When I brought the garden tractor home from the cabin on Monday, I pulled the mower deck off before putting the tractor to bed. The mower desperately needs new blades and that process will start today. "Mowing" rocks, sticks, brush, etc is really hard on mower blades.
Looking at the old blades it's easy to see why they didn't do a very good job of mowing. The blades are so bad they just beat the grass into submission without cutting it.

Good morning, here anyway. Our votes apparently counted and my county, which is generally Blue, turned Red. It appears that the 3 top offices will all go Republican and more importantly 6 legislature seats flipped from D to R with no R's losing their seats. So Premier Northam may lose his ability to turn Virginia Communist. Looks like the R's did well in other state elections too and Bill will still have police in his area. I know most of you are planning recounts and lawsuits to try and overturn the elections but you'll probably do no better than Trump with that. I'll be interested to see how New Jersey turns out.
Trying to keep my problems first world. Don't know why but Mary has been more lucid the past few days so maybe her confusion lessened. I did talk to our PCP about her while getting my ears cleaned out Monday. I was having that tunnel effect and couldn't clear it up with drops and the Wax-RX spray thing so made an appointment and he did pull a big wad of crap out of the left ear. I hear OK now. As long as I was there I asked him to consider her mental state next time she was in. For now, I'm happy she's seeming OK.
If the election makes you sad, I prescribe Scotch. Have a good day.

Nice brisk sunny morning. There was a red tint to the clouds as it rose. I think that means “sailors take warning” or maybe I have it backwards.

Red sky at night, Sailor's delight. Red sky in morning, Sailor's warning.

Oh, and Winsome Sears has now been declared the first African American woman to win a state wide office as Lieutenant Governor. Incredible lady with an amazing back story (former Marine, etc.).
Congrats to her and it's a damn shame she'll probably not get a mention anywhere else.
