The pomp! The pageantry! The inspiring marching bands! The crisp fall air! The fact that the last time Minnesota beat Iowa was in 1999!

The Gophers' helmets are pretty groovy, though.

I remember Johnny Carson once commenting about how he had recently flown on Gopher Airways, a regional carrier, and that he found it unsettling to fly on an airline named after "a rodent that burrows into the ground."

It took more than five minutes for Iowa to score, and the Goafs held them to a field goal, so I should probably change the channel right now before it gets ugly.

Hallelujah! Tie game! MN blew its red zone chances, though.

Minnesota leads 13-10 at half! I certainly should shoot a bazooka round into my TV at this point!

I think the highlight of the game may be the F-35 flyover. They've (the pulots) have been out looking at the great Iowa scenery, probably want to become crop duster when that retire, judging from the altitude they've been flying at. One of the pilots, the commander, is from Ely, IA, just south of Cedar Rapids.

Crisp fall air? It's cold out there! But it appears Iowa will be keeping the Floyd of Rosedale warm.
