GAH! It snowed overnight. There must be 1/64 of an inch of the vile stuff out there. The driveway is shiny with icy watery snow. This is terrible. Just terrible. Enjoy yourselves today.

It's snowing horizontal right now. Amazon might be a tad less fun today.
If your belief system does not include incongruities that astonish, frustrate or befuddle you, it most probably does not include a power higher than you.

Sunny and calm here, 29 degrees, white lawns and roofs, but the streets are dry and normal. Time to take pills, then it's off to Flameburger for breffkust, then Trader Joe's for provisions. My exciting life.
No snow in Tucson. Starting out at 47 degrees, heading for the mid 80s. The choir isn't singing today, but we'll leave for church at our usual time so Mr. H can attend Bible study. I'll read in the car or outside if it's warm enough.
I played some tenor uke yesterday. Once I get past remembering that a C chord is played like a G chord on guitar, I do pretty well. During the pandemic I've only progressed to advanced beginner on keyboard. Too many instruments.
Thinking of going to the zoo next week. There are no gorillas there.
29F with snow on the ground. Simon and Riley are rather unhappy about going out and complain loudly when they come back in. Winter has come to Minnesota.
The girls are taking us to breakfast and decided they want to grocery shop with us. I think the word NO is going to be used a lot today along with 'We don't need that". They like to buy LOTS of snack foods and expensive non essentials. I don't usually buy pop, candy, cookies, flaming hot whatit's or snack cakes.
I HATE snow.
DaWife accompanied me on my errands yesterday and at the woodworking store the sales guys were pushing the ukulele kits on sale. I told them I need another uke like I need a third eye because I already have at least 4 of them. DaWife leaned over the counter and told them "And 70 guitars, no I'm not kidding". That's my girl.
43° and sunny in the Big Apple this morning. The pooch and I just returned from a brisk hour-long walk along the park. Had my first sighting of a public curbside electric car-charging station—first one I've seen in the neighborhood. Could it be any coincidence that it's just down the road from where Senator Schumer lives?
On the agenda: bills, laundry, light grocery shop, more dog walking.

Good morning from Sundown Mountain. Ski swap today, fortunately for me I'm not really looking for any ski gear, the place is an absolute mad house. The line to check out, if you buy something is probably 2 hours long. I'm sitting in the lodge drinking coffee, some of us (ski club friends)may go out for lunch later.

I don’t know why you guys are complaining about the weather. It’s 68 here now, heading for a high of 81. With some rain showers. Everyone has their cross to bear. But don’t worry about me. We make it somehow.
Picked up the kids yesterday. Took them for really good fish tacos for a late lunch on the way to the condo. They were tired, from getting up at 4:30 to make their flight, but gobsmacked by the views. It’s their first time to Kauai After a Mai tai and a light dinner, they called it a night. Todays festivities include a farmers market for local apple or ice cream bananas, some papayas, and bread. Then some beach time.

We were headed to West Baden/French Lick today to see the big hotels, but discovered late last night that they are closed to non-guests. So, we went to the Newport (KY) aquarium, followed by a fancy late lunch. Back home and tired.
Yesterday I finally assembled one my Christmas gifts from last year, the Apollo 11 lunar lander. Lots of fun.
Watched the Formula 1 race and then made a quick grocery run (no more turkeys available at aldi, they put them on sale for $0.87 a pound, not that we needed one, I would've put another in the freezer at that price though).

I seem to remember that Legos were all square and you had to use your imagination to see the lunar lander when you were done!
Having spent time in my previous life at the very hotels you speak of, I don't think you missed that much.
