Looks like rain. Alexa says there is a 51% chance at 8. We’ll see if the robot is correct. Have a nice Sunday morning breakfast, read the funnies, and chant your mantra to relieve stress.

Good morning. It's still dark here but that's about to change.
Today is Seabury Sunday, an insignificant but harmless celebration in our religious denomination that involves the use of bagpipes and drums in the service. The pipes and drums will supply all the music except for a communion piece by the choir. Somehow bagpipes and drums in a communion piece would seem a little off.
Otherwise there's not a lot planned. Enjoy your day.

Quatar Grand Prix about to start. Chilly but not rainy day predicted here. Trader Joe's run planned before the Vikes-Pack game. Coffee good.

It's Sunday and sunny, which is rare. We're at 50 headed to 60 so since there's no football, the Patriots having already won their game for the week, maybe I'll start mulching the leaves but there are stili a lot on some of the trees.
The men's Curling Olympic trials finish tonight one way or the other. It's a best of 3 and tied at 1 and 1 now. The women's finished last night 2-0.
I guess I'll have to mentally root for Indy to beat Buffalo so the Pats get 1st place. That game isn't on TV here.
Be safe and well, if you can.

Yesterday was spectacular and I got a good hilly walk in but it is cold, wind, and snow today.
Looks like a Nordic Trak day and finally putting the bike on the trainer.

It's sunny outside, but chilly. My bike ride yesterday turned out to be a 33+ miler, longer than I had planned but it was just too nice out to quit. For some reason I don't seem to have much energy today.

Up. Out of Kona coffee. Switched to the Kauai grown coffee, it’s not as good. Oh well. Today we will go down to Poipu to site see, beach time, look for turtles, and Bernekee’s for dinner with the rest of the family. And that’s the day.

Just east of Princeville. That was one of our favorites, seldom people there, nice sand beach and rocky on either end, which was good for snorkeling. Saw a 4-5 ft shark there one day while snorkeling.

Six minutes to kickoff. Provided they kick off in six minutes. If not, it will be a little longer. Skoal!

I haven't been sick since 2016, the year I quit teaching. Spending 4 days with an 11 year old and the dry, burning cough, general malaise, and long nights have returned.

Not sure what to do today but I’m watching some SF football and I don’t even like football. It’s a beautiful day with 65 degrees and blue skies. I’ll go outside. And I need a newspaper.

Just learned that my older daughter and her boyfriend have both tested positive for Covid. She has no sense of taste or smell and zero energy. Otherwise she's okay. He's pretty much recovered. They were both vaccinated but hadn't gotten boosted yet.
I'm glad they're okay but our Thanksgiving plans will get revised again. They'll be technically out of quarantine by Thanksgiving but they don't want to risk infecting anyone by eating indoors with us. We'll probably move dinner outdoors. (In Phoenix you can move Thanksgiving outdoors.)

Have you been to Anini beach/park? Just east of Princeville. [/quote] Several times. Mac, my new son-in-law, is not a strong swimmer, so Anini was perfect for him, and Anita’s mom has some mobility issues so she could sit in the shade on one of the picnic tables. Mike

Bill, I'm not sure what you found unusual. I hadn't heard recently of people losing taste and smell but she couldn't even smell Vicks Vapo-Rub. As for vaccinated people getting infected, we know a fair number of people in that category but none have been hospitalized.
