Good morning. Younger daughter flew out at 6:00 and life returns to normal. It was a good holiday even if we had to play cards outside with masks on.
Church this morning, sundry to-dos this afternoon. All's well.
Enjoy your day.

I worked somewhere close to 21 days in a row so management felt as though they needed to give me a day off. In reality, they thought it was better to give me an Amazon Sunday off than a regular route-carrying day. We are swamped. The route regulars are taking second trips and doing 8-10 hour days themselves. I've put in three 14 hour days in the past five.
I'm working on holiday cards and a small shutterfly book of our first year with IceSha.

You guys should try the Alabama method: USA TodayBetween 300 and 400 FedEx packages were found Wednesday in a wooded ravine near the small town of Hayden in north central Alabama, the Blount County Sheriff's Office said on its Facebook page. Deputies guarded the packages at the scene, which is about 30 miles north of Birmingham, until FedEx workers arrived to pick up the packages, Sheriff Mark Moon told The Associated Press. FedEx sent several trucks and drivers from across the South to retrieve the packages, he said. Photos posted on the sheriff’s office's Facebook page showed workers on Thanksgiving Day retrieving packages that had been tossed towards the bottom of a wooded hillside. The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate why the packages were tossed into the ravine, but did not respond to a request for an update Saturday. Nearby resident Natasha Abney told Birmingham ABC affiliate station WBMA-TV that her neighbor found the boxes on his property. “I mean it was just a river of boxes,” she said. “Some busted open, some not.” In addition to recovering and delivering the packages, FedEx is working with law enforcement on the investigation, the company said in a statement. “The security of our customers’ shipments is a top priority and we are committed to treating our customers’ packages with the utmost care,” FedEx said in a statement Friday. "We are conducting a review of this situation and will take the appropriate action.” FedEx did not provide an update on the situation Saturday. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Good morning We move into Chanukah and Christmas now and this will be another strange year - with people more and more frantic and supply chains more and more stretched. I am glad I don’t give holiday presents to one’s another. . Better to sit and watch the leaves fall and listen to them skitter across the pavement when the wind blows than to go shopping.
Also I saw a really cool series MAID in Netflix !! Possibly a review

Nice crisp windless sunny Sunday. Got my ass out of bed and have a hilly walk under my belt.
Watched Dancing With Wolves for the first time ever last night. In spite of everyone being a little too well scrubbed and hair too perfect for accuracy it was still a very good watch. The Buffalo hunt - wow!

Watched Dancing With Wolves for the first time ever last night. The Buffalo hunt - wow! The buffalo that charges straight at you was a tame pet named Cody, who was actually running to a pile of Oreos next to the camera. The buffalo that plowed into the ground when shot was a prop buffalo shoved off the back of a moving pickup truck. Sorry to destroy your illusions.

Some of my nephew's latest. I'm not in love with the garish colors, but the texture is interesting.

Colts fans, my condolences, they played a heroic game, but you just can't give Tom Brady four turnovers, I guess.

Colts fans, my condolences, they played a heroic game, but you just can't give Tom Brady four turnovers, I guess. Never bet against Brady. OTOH, the Patriots won another one today. It wasn't on TV here so I had the watch the ESPN version, sort of a cartoon on the Internet, which is maddening. Apparently back in April when no one expected anything from the Pats, my son got a package deal, airfare, hotel, rental car and game tickets, he couldn't refuse so he and hie wife were at the game. Although we left Massachusetts when he was 5 he's always been a fan of the New England teams and sucked his wife, a native Virginian, into it too. I'm still a fan so it may be my fault. I don't give a damn about anyone kneeling for the National Anthem anyway and I don't any of the Pats do that. It's Football.
