Dub, mine looks much like your second photo. Just a different brand.

I once served as arbitrator in a case where a coffee expert testified. He explained why keeping the coffee on a heating element causes the flavor to deteriorate quickly. So I got a Black & Decker coffee maker that puts the brewed coffee into a carafe. It stays plenty hot. The flavor holds up much better. I've stuck with this variety for over a decade now. I have one of those at the cabin. Problem is, the pot is usually empty before I can really tell if it's getting cold. I'll admit, it does taste good while it lasts.

I just use a French Press. 8 Oclock medium roast whole bean coffee and a burr grinder.

Cleared the leaves from the roof and yard. Plugged in the weed whacked. Bought new hooks for the Christmas lights and a half dozen replacement bulbs.
Getting the ladder ready.

I've never been a fan of outdoor Christmas decorations and have never put any up. It hasn't been a rule or anything, just the way things have always worked out. One less chore to worry about and all that.
But… I get the idea that Fiddlerina would like to have some outdoor lighting. Our house has outdoor electric service that seems intended to support such stuff so I'm thinking maybe I should put up some outdoor lights.
I have no idea how to do this. Don't know what to buy. Don't know how to fasten lights to the house. Don't know how to ensure that lights are in straight line instead of drooping or looking uneven.
What is the collective SoundHole advice? What must I do?

Dub, first off, think twice. I put up lights every year. It requires getting up on a stepladder. So far that hasn't been a problem but pretty lights aren't worth a spill.
How you put them up will depend on your house. Ours is stuccoed block. About the only way to string the lights is from the rain gutters. There are special plastic clips made for that purpose.

A little spruce roping, some cheap lights, a timer, and a few cup hooks and zip ties and you can have a festive front entrance.

Kalita, uses large 104 size filters. Typical full pot I make is 1200cc.

Put them up in the summer but don't plug them in. And make someone else climb the ladder.

I don’t think I have posted yet. I could look back and see but that seems like work. If I did post, here is another. If I didn’t post, hey, have a great day, a good breakfast, some coffee and stay cool!

Years ago I had an Italian architect working for me. He was the only one in the office that didn't drink coffee. I asked him why not, being Italian and all. He said, "I see the faces everyone makes when they take their first sip of coffee. You can't convince me you actually like the stuff."
