I just thought the memory of our friend deserved its own thread. The scripture passage for the message at church this morning was one Don would have known well: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.Don, you've stepped fully into that light now. Glory in it. I'll meet you there someday, and we'll play some tunes. I'll miss you.

Don led a full life. He is the only person I will ever meet who was gonged off of the Gong Show. And as far a music goes, he was one of the most talented musicians it would be possible for anyone to meet. But his greatest asset was, and is, his family. Don put his family ahead of everything else. And for those of us who have met his family, it's easy to understand why. And easy to see his goodness flowing through all of them. You will be missed, Don, by more people than you would probably ever know.

Ah man, I didn’t want to see this news tonight. What a great man. Clearly full of love, evident in his kids (I only met Josh) and just the way he interacted with everyone. ❤️

Rip In Peace
I try to remember about the old stories. We tried to do this classical piece together on the Internet we didn’t get it. It not done yet. I actually need me and Don to help together. It would’ve been great little piece with Bach Prelude C major. And we wanted to do some duo with Moonlight as well. And Don’s mother could play the whole third movement. Obviously she was incredibly good. Mr. Clark and I lived in a different part of the country as well and Wilton Connecticut. We have a lot of stories/white lies.
We were both the same souls brethren but I don’t think we were there in the planet much
Maybe I’ll see the guitar heaven. I’ll be playing with the piano limbo

I wanted to stop in Cimarron for a visit when Wendy and I passed through but it was not possible at the time. Now I'm kicking myself. On another trip we met up in Greensburg and visited at John Unruh's house
Sigh.
