I guess I have reached a milestone in my life: It is nice to get a phone call, text or email from old friends, even if they just say that they have thought of me. Blessings to my Soundhole friends tonight. I am thinking of you.

Blessings to you, David. I actually saw you once on a Zoom call. You're REAL to me. Not just an internet bot. (**smirk**) It's nice to share thoughts with all of you. You all are a blessing in my life.
Be well.

David, I’m up for a beer or lunch if you are.
Mike
Not tomorrow though, I’m dropping the F150 off for service, not sure how long it will take them. It’s a recall software thing.

It's interesting the shifting place internet friends fill in my mind and life.

The Internet forums have introduced me to a wealth of friends and they are people from all over the country stretching up into Canada. It’s pretty amazing, really.

Recent events are teaching us that life is fragile and transient, and we need to appreciate our friends while they are with us.
David, thanks for this thread. It is so timely and true.
You folks will never know how often you have given me respite during a miserable day. I am grateful to know all of you, even if only virtually in many cases.
Shannon

It used to surprise me how often I found myself saying, "... a friend of mine - well, one of the forum guys, we're never actually met ..." But now I find myself leaving off the qualifier. It's not needed.

It's not needed. I do that all the time, and also left off the qualifier some time ago. Everyone here, as far as I know, is a cyber Will Rogers. I don't ever remember, and we've been together for a long time, of anyone saying they met a forumite in real time and didn't like them. There is something to be said for that.

Blessings to my Soundhole friends tonight. I am thinking of you. Hearing from an old friend is a blessing indeed, it happened to me last evening. A phone call that lasted over 1 1/2 hours, so good to catch up and remember days gone by.
