I think I may have read that bulletin wrong. Anyway, it’s the 29th and 2021 is winding down with or without trombones.
Enjoy what you can and leave the rest.

Good morning. Is anyone going to miss 2021?
The weather service changed its mind and we'll have sunshine today, 40s-50s. Tonight the rain will resume and continue until Saturday.
A friend's coming over for indoor coffee this morning. This afternoon I'll make posole while pondering the loveliness of trombones.
Enjoy your day.

Maybe, because next year is pronounced 2020 too.

good morning. Got up early and went to the lake for some sunrise bird watching. Hit the road after that for my am bike ride. Gonna spend part of the day recycling, cleaning out use candle tins to ready them for my next batch of odorous flame devices. Have good ones my friends.

Morning
Cold -5F although my phone says -2F with a wind chill factor of -15F to -25F. I do have to go out later but I will have DaWife drive as her car has remote start, warms up quicker than mine and my heated seats are good, hers are great. Until then I have plenty to do.
Need coffee.

A cold, sunny morning. At 8:00 this morning I was sitting watching TV, drinking coffee and wondering what time I should go outside and move some of the 2-3 inches of new snow. That's when I heard a big noise, looked outside and a 4 wheel drive John Deere was coming in my driveway. Snow removal problems solved.
I will venture out to Vinton later, gotta renew my ATV registration and pick up some groceries.

Good morning. Another continuing professional education day for me, to make sure I get my 40 hours in this year. On today's menu is an ethics course about the Madoff investment scandal (completed), basic marital tax matters (just started), gift tax returns (later), and tactical and strategic Roth IRA conversions (later).
By the way, Howard, that is a darn fine picture of a train.

Puttering around outside in short-sleeves and zorries. Had to look up what zorries are. Have never heard them called that before. Around here they are simply flip flops.

I was at my workstation around 7:15 when the local hardware store guy who picked up my crippled snowblower Monday and also plowed my driveway showed up and plowed it again. Took him less than a couple of minutes, but a huge relief for me, as the city snowplow left its usual wall o' crust overnight.

If you like photos of old trains, John, have a look at Smoke Over Steamtown, a book of train photos by my train-obsessed coworker, Dennis Livesey, a still photographer and cinematographer.
His work is beautiful and a true homage to the steam trains of yore.

Morning.
Trombone Appreciation Day is a special day in these parts. First stop will be Deek's Pizza which offers 25% off any pizza and free breadsticks if you show up with your trombone... and an additional free 2 liter bottle of soda if you don't play it. Later, it will be Culver's for my free double pecan mixer. Same deal, bring it, leave it in the case. I can do that. Tonight, it's Texas Roadhouse!

Though I am trying to take the week off from work, my friends and relatives have my personal phone number and don't think that their legal questions and desire for documents is "work."
