Snowy out, not bad. Made a big pot of chicken curry tonight, lots of leftovers, and it's better later.

It should hit 40 today before the Arctic air masses come in tomorrow. Crazy winter. Stay fashionable.

In a Tom Petty mood this morning...
Stay warm.

Good Morning Good People
Temps hovering around freezing, compacted ice on streets and sidewalks. Heading out to the auto salvage yard to seek a rim for our daughter's old Nissan. At the local salvage yard there is a 2006 Murano in Row 55, slot 12 and a 2019 Murano in Row 55, slot 20. Hopefully one of these will yield a suitable rim. This will involve suiting up in coveralls and dragging a heavy jack through a couple of acres. I'm getting too old for this.
Have a better day one and all.

Partly cloudy, 20’s, cold snap starts tomorrow. Shop work and maybe some snowshoeing.
Off to Chicago tomorrow to ride herd on a 16y/o and a dog while their parents trek to warmer climes.
Somehow it seems it should be just the opposite
Break out the Carhartts Tam!

While I would not mind moving to a better neighborhood doing so involves moving and setting up my shop. moving the household stuff is a breeze compared to my shop.

No, I understand, dear friend. Was just making a little lighthearted banter.
I'm in the mood for beef pepper steak w/ tomato today, from House of Wong.

Cloudy with a one half chance of rain today. I'll be dropping off Mr. H for an eye injection, then running by the post office. Dinner will be salmon with fresh rosemary and some sort of liqueur, plus the remains of the grilled veggies that were last night's dinner, and probably some pasta.
We went grocery shopping yesterday. Got everything on our list, but I did notice some empty shelves and a scarcity of candy and dairy products. Very little cheese of any kind and not much yogurt. We make our own yogurt, so as long as we can get milk, we're OK on that. Do we need to learn how to make cheese?

I love good cheese, and my cardiologist just warned me off of it last week. <sigh>

No rabbit. Nothing in my trap but the lettuce and broccoli I put there. I'll leave the trap set for a few more days. Maybe I'll catch a small vegan.

40 degrees, cloudy, foggy and drizzly. My paralegal has Covid but not suffering much. Glad she can work a bit from home. Might be a long day - an arbitration starting a noon. I anticipate that most of the testimony will need to be interpreted.

Back from errands. Tired but still have things to do.
I have several customers with family ties to Tonga and Samoa, good people.
Tonga is so isolated getting help there is very difficult and very little communication services are working. They don't know how many people were hurt or killed by tsunami and there most likely is a severe shortage of drinking water and shelter.

Last time I wanted a part from a salvage yard they wouldn't let me get it, they sent someone out to get it for me. I had to pay more, but honestly I didn't mind. 4 It sounds, from reading the daily, like the bottom is going to drop out in temperatures all over the continental US tomorrow. Ugh. Jd, that curry sounds great.

Just awake. I will play some piano - Chopin. Probably not guitar. I'm kind of tired of this clique/group..... I'm not really here. I'll go find another one group.
I still like almost few souls. You probably know who you are.....;-)
I'm not sure what to say - I like where I listen here - the forum. I like a few people and few very picky small-minds people.... Some of it's been the pandemic..... A lot of people has been very flexible and then got rigid/strict.
I have to find some other people ..... I'll find some of the old group.

I did look up how to make cheese. Some kinds you can make using vinegar or lemon juice. Some kinds require a thing called rennet, which we don't have on hand. Also, it takes a lot of milk to make a little cheese, but you can use the whey in cooking.
