It is hard, Kris. I'm glad you are all there.

Kris, I suppose this stage was inevitable, which doesn't make it any less difficult to endure. If you and your sibs are the result of the kind of person your father is, then it's clear he brought a lot of goodness into the world. May he go in peace.

So sorry you are going through this. When he is gone you will miss him forever. But it will get better with time.

Hugs, prayers. As hard as it is, it is also a holy time.

Others say it better. Mourn your loss, but celebrate his life.

Peace, Kris. Great sadness now. Aggravation added to sadness later with all the funeral crap. But, later, later you will hear his voice again and he will start popping up now and again and you will realize he is still with you, a part of you. Son of the father, father to the son.

Sadly, we know this is unavoidable. Your dad and your family are dealing with this terrible loss with grace and love. You are a remarkable family and we hold you in our hearts.

My sympathies, Kris. My dad’s been gone for 45 years, but I still see him and hear him, and I see and hear him in many things that I do. He’ll be there for you, too.

Kris - I can't add any wisdom to that given above. Thoughts and prayers for your Dad, your Mom, and you and your brothers.
