Spent yesterday setting up rain barrels and weeding. And around 3:30 or so, I felt a hole in my belly that just didn't go away. Then, almost magically, no, completely magically, I heard Bill's voice drifting ethereally in the breeze... "Culver's. Pub Burger."
Well, you ignore ethereal voices at your peril. So, I combined a Menards trip with a Culver's stop and had my first Wisconsin Pub Burger with their new root beer smushy. Another winner from Culver's! The burger is meaty and chewy and the bun is tremendous, fresh and flakey, a very different type of bun than their other burger buns.
Good job, Culver's!

Ditto UGH
But today is a new week. A clean slate. Another reasonable weather in northern California. About 75 degrees. Blue skies
And I have at least two zooming classes - teacher and student - Brain Injury Center and Spirit Rock
I did a application - full/time - Bookstore Manager - Spirit Rock, Woodacre, CA. I certainly hope that I get that position. Crossed fingers!
Enjoy your good days

Had our last ever Patsy concert Sunday afternoon in the little town of Barrett MN. Same theater the band started in 14 years ago. Lots of white hair, walkers, canes, and a couple of oxygen bottles. One fall on the steps going in necessitating an ambulance visit. All par for the course at one of our gigs. Luckily Cassie is an RN now, I am a doc and the bass player is an EMT. We are ready! I have learned from experience that if, as a physician, you arrive at an accident scene at the same time as an EMT and mention “I’m a doctor” the vibe will always be “we’ll let you know if we need you”. After the dust settled it was good show and a little sad. 1D5F54C6-5113-4BE9-A067-F0308B41C7A4 by Terence Kennedy, on Flickr

Did you go with a single patty, double, or what? I got a pint of their vegetable beef soup the other day, another winner.

Good morning. We had a good shower late yesterday afternoon, with lots of thunder and lightning. One lightning strike was close and loud.
I have a routine appointment with my cardiologist this morning. Six months ago I was tested six ways from Sunday and everything was okay but I have bad genes and too much calcium.
It's a pleasant morning here. Enjoy your day.

I was just notified that I have completely passed my FEMA background check. Apparently they didn't discover all y'all hoodlums.

Failing that, is there a full show video of your Patsy band anywhere? I’d sure love to see it.

good afternoon. Typical Florida summer day. Heat and humidity followed by afternoon thunderstorms. Got my post Stanley Cup haircut this morning and this afternoon I'll be seeing the Urologist for a follow up appointment for all the tests he put me through and to tell him the prostate shrinking meds he prescribed for me are working. Life goes on........

(include your makeup tips for Bill) So, what's up after your Patsy gig? A run as Dolly? (go for it!)

Hi adventure around here yesterday. We had a very pregnant cat. I got up yesterday, and made sure she had some food and water, and headed out for church. I got back from church around 11:30, and didn't see Kitty anywhere. Come to think of it, I didn't see the other cat either. About three hours later, both cats show up at the food bowls, and one was clearly postpartum. I had to do a double take, and walked over to give here a closer look. Yeap. Kittenless! I had to scramble around to find the kittens. Turns out she had given birth to five kittens underneath Jules' bed. We're keeping a close eye on them all.
