Up and awake. Two more days off and then it's back to work at the new job.
The kittens are alive and well, and momma cat is being very attentive. We figured that her sidekick, Tater Cat, brought home three dead mice to the front porch the morning she delivered. He must have sensed something was up.
You all have a good one.

Into the 90s for a few days now. I rode early yesterday but skipped today (was a pushup day, still doing those). Will go early tomorrow, like a quick cup or two of coffee and out the door. Had scored some sale lamb at the store a day or two ago and made a curry with it tonight--came out well.

Good morning
65F-94F mostly sunny.
While yesterday was a very bad day for me energy wise and I spent most of the day sleeping I did get a good nights sleep and feel much better today. Hopefully that means some shop time in today. I also have errands that must be done.
The nightly shooting last night was at our movie theater in Oakdale. Somebody gets shot every night around here. Car just blasted past my place as I was writing this. He was doing at least 45 in a 20 zone. I want 2 speed bumps on my street.

Around here it is VERY expensive but since you mentioned it I may drop by my local butcher shop and see if they have some.

I kind of riffed off of this recipe: www.recipetineats.com/wprm_print/43026 but only had half that much meat, so backed off on the spices. Added a potato once the meat was getting done, then a small eggplant and the remainder of a zucchini. (cleaning out the fridge) Lamb makes for a different kitchen fragrance.

My plan for today was to come up to the cabin and secure the tree that was leaning over the boat lift and dock. This morning I loaded up the chain,Rachet straps, winch, etc and arrived at the cabin at 8:30 am.
I was too late, the tree is down, mostly across my dock. The boat lift will be usable once a couple smaller branches are removed. I fear the remainder will have to wait untill the lake is frozen solid. No way to take the tree out of there without causing some serious damage to the dock.
Anyone own a heavy lift helicopter that I could borrow for a day?

I've become fixated lately on the tune "Cry Me a River" by Arthur Hamilton. I can't get the melody out of my head. Yves Keroas did a fingerstyle arrangement for the tune that has been on my web site forever. I thought it would be fun to try recording it with a backing track. Here is a version that is pretty close to the Keroas arrangement.

Wednesday is lamb shank day at Zakia, Marty, pretty affordable, like $13 with two sides and pita bread. Served over rice pilaf with a delicious gravy. I get Lebanese salad and tabouli as my sides.

Good morning, all. I have the same weather pattern as Ken.
The university decided to close the clinic Friday and Monday for the holiday, so I'm looking forward to the long weekend.

Good morning. I started hiking in the mountain preserve at 5:30. Knocked off at 6:60. It was so pleasant I stayed longer than usual.
During the pandemic we played Zoom trivia every week. Now it's down to once a month, which is about right. There's a game this evening. Our teammates can't make it so we'll get creamed but we don't care.
Enjoy your day.

I get a 403 forbidden page for that. (The score/tab look fine) Sorry about that. I forgot I placed restrictions on mp3s from being played by external links (bandwidth concerns). This guy does a pretty close version to the Keroas arrangement.

Good morning pickers and pianists There’s a lot of things to do - baby steps Enjoy your days
“If you can sit quietly after difficult news; if in financial downturns you remain perfectly calm; if you can see your neighbors travel to fantastic places without a twinge of jealousy; if you can happily eat whatever is put on your plate; you can fall asleep after a day of running around without a drink or a pill; if you can always find contentment just where you are: you are probably a dog.” By Jack Kornfield

I play Will Fly's version of "Cry Me a River." www.willflyguitar.com/guitar-tab-c.htmlShortly before midnight our burglar alarm started beeping. It was just a low battery in one of the sensors, which Mr. H replaced this morning. Surely somebody could have come up with better software than to have the thing go off for a low battery, like maybe showing it on the display.

I had my 3-month appointment with the transplant center this morning. All of my blood work, as well as my health, has been consistently improving.
Today I have been officially removed from the liver transplant list! Thanks for all your prayers, good thoughts and support. I really appreciate all of it.
Have good ones.
