Good morning. I think. I'll need more coffee to be sure. After my weekly Zoom social breakfast, we'll head to remote Scottsdale to meet with our new financial advisors. We're not changing because of the results. No one's doing well right now. We're changing because everyone we knew and had confidence in at the previous place left. This guy seems cheerful enough.

On my 3rd cup of coffee. This morning I have to go back to the grocery store to get the item I forgot to get yesterday.
I'll try to dodge the rain and head for the cabin this afternoon. We'll be having a family gathering there. Grandkids are bringing friends so it'll be a full house.
Summer fun!

I was wakey as the owls clocked out and the mourning doves clocked in. Up early so that we can get our walk done and have breakfast before Mr. H takes the truck in for A/C servicing. I then have a Zoom meeting, which I will leave if he calls and has me pick him up. Hopefully it will just be a hose replacement and recharge. In that case, he'll just wait there until it's done.
At the visit to the gastro office yesterday, I didn't even meet the doctor, just the nurse practitioner. I got an overall good feeling about the place, but would have liked to look at the person who is going to do this thing to me at the end of August. Much sooner than I anticipated, given what I've read about people (me too) putting off colonoscopies and other procedures.

Up at dawn again today. Coffee in hand. A trip for groceries today.
Eric and I decided on another couple tunes to try recording some time in the future. LIke always, I'll take what I can from Mike Dowling's arrangements.

good morning. The tree people are coming by this morning for an estimate. Gotta trim the trees for hurricane season. After my morning bath I'll be heading out to do some banking and food shopping. Life goes on.

Wendy's birthday.
Vivienne is here, diggin' the ducks and laughing upa storm. Somehow watching us swat a fly causes peals of laughter.

"I was wakey as the owls clocked out and the mourning doves clocked in."
We don't hear owls much any more but this time of year, the sound of doves is what tells me it's time to get up. That's one thing that hasn't changed since I was a little kid.

The Denver crowd left early this AM. They’ll do the drive in one day. They were here for eight days and it was a great visit.
Lots of swimming off the pontoon, paddling, biking, walking, and eating. They pulled their weight well and left a clean kitchen, and a tidy house and yard. I am sunburned, tired, and backed up in the shop.

Good morning 79F-87F Cloudy Off to get meds and milk. Been having VERY high blood sugar readings for the last few days and was on the edge of heading for the ER when I decided to check one thing, bananas. They had really nice bananas when shopping on Sunday and I've been having them every morning with my cereal before they go off. So in trying to figure out why my glucose readings were so high I checked on the bananas, very bad for me except in small doses. Glucose readings have dropped significantly over night and I am feeling much better today. I will keep checking every few hours today just to be sure. Later today I will start making plans for a MN Guitar Mofia lunch for 7/16. First a meeting to see if we want to invite Hammond, he always wants to have it at Culver's, not happening.

Good morning. Looking forward to picking up the Classic 70s Squire today.
But first I need to get my monthly billing done and tend to a few client matters.
We have had a few Camelot days here: raining at night and (mostly) clear for daytime. Temps in the 70s. I like it.

Good news on the truck. No repairs needed. And it was under $120, which was less than we got charged 4 years ago for the same work. And they had it done in a half hour. And the guys were appreciative of our 1997 5 speed manual transmission 4 wheel drive Chevy Silverado and the condition it's in. Mr. H is happy with the place, so we now have a Tucson mechanic, which is good, since we've lived here for 3 years. Next task is tomorrow when I have my annual checkup with my internist. That and lab work will tell me if I need repairs. I think I'm OK, but I am also an older vehicle. Since I have to fast, we'll go out to lunch after. Trying a Chinese place that we haven't been to before. www.chinaszechwan.com/ And I discovered that there's an Indian market next door, so we'll also pop in there.
