good morning. Just finished the daily bike ride. Started a bit late so it was a hot and humid one. A Lazy day is on the agenda. Have good ones. [img src=" " alt=" "]

Rainy day here but I needed a day off.
Since moving here 16 years ago our Internet access has sucked, DSL at best though I tried Hughesnet but it sucked too. There is fiber being installed in rural areas but we weren't on the list. A friend over on the bay side said when they were laying the cable around his area he asked if they'd do his road and they did so he got broadband. The other 3 owners on my road had asked but had been quoted a couple of thousand bucks to get the backbone installed and they wouldn't pay that. I had been assuming it wasn't going to happen but my friend said it couldn't hurt to ask so I did a couple of weeks ago. Initially they said no but last Tuesday a guy showed up to do a site survey and make a determination on whether they would install a backbone cable. Got a call last night and they said they would install the cable at no cost to me or the other owners although there would be the usual installation charge of $100 if I or they wanted the cable installed to the house. That's OK with me and I may yet get broadband. They said it would take maybe 30 days to have the cable installed. Hope it happens.

Good morning
64F-85F mostly sunny
Saturday shop. DaWife is on a week vacation so I will take her to lunch and on the way there we will stop at the KIA dealership to talk about the lease car we are paying for but haven't had for months. I would be happy to just end the lease, we don't really need two cars now and mine is paid for. Big change in our monthly budget.

Good morning. Took an early walk in the mountain preserve. I've been summoned to a meeting at church this morning of the people who lead various groups. I could do without it but it's probably a good idea. A chicken has been brining and will be roasted later. Enjoy your day.

Plus, you'll be able to call me a pinko commie even faster.😊

Good morning
A wave for my friends, acquaintances, planet, departed souls
Let's keep everything relaxed and if there's some kind of a mess/fuss let's do it very normally if we can.
I've got a few things to do - Saturday errands, music, and fix my fraud
Enjoy your days

We had a much needed lie-in and by the time we could have started our walk, it was already 90F. Also sunny, no breeze, and a bit higher humidity. So we're skiipping our usual walk. We'll either walk the mall later (Saturday, I don't know about that) or use our HOA's pool that we pay for and never use. Neither one of us is a good enough swimmer to do a bunch of laps, but some exercise is better than none.
A trip for groceries and a prescription is planned and that's all for today.

Perfect summer's day here. I motored off to North St. Paul to try a new breakfast place, but there was a long wait, so I headed back west and picked up takeout from Zakia's -- a gyro omelet with peppers and provolone, hot tahini sauce on the side. Doesn't suck.

A friend’s favorite phrase at open mics is, “Play something that doesn’t suck !”

... I've been summoned to a meeting at church this morning... That sounds pretty serious. Maybe you should bring a lawyer... Oh, never mind.

It is supposed to start raining in 47 minutes (I love MinuteCast). So, Casper and I better take our bike ride around the park now.

A short bit of melodious twanging on an old Martin from Carl Miner. A reminder that I should perhaps try standard tuning one of these days.
