I'll share your kind comments with her, Bill. Some guy who looked kinda like you went through the communion line, which I was SO GLAD they moved midstream to give Diane some room to operate! My sister was music director for a couple of Lutheran churches that had handbell choirs, and I remember well all the intricacies of procuring the costly bells, storing them and transporting them properly, never allowing human hand flotsam to contact their surfaces, etc. Does she wear Nike bell-choir sneakers?

Wow! I applauded at the end. I had no clear idea of what a bell solo was and had no idea it involved so much movement. It looks like a complete workout.
Why did they flip her bell table to the other side of the church? The second solo looked a little crowded with the communioners filing past behind her.

"Some guy who looked kinda like you went through the communion line, which I was SO GLAD they moved midstream to give Diane some room to operate!" That move was prompted by the pandemic. This approach incidentally reduces the number of people needed to serve the wine, and I'm in charge of staffing those slots, so I like it! Normally we'd need four wine servers ("eucharistic ministers"). Today there was only one, in part because there was a glut of clergy.

Yeah. I remember from the many years I played in the bell choir.
"Does she wear Nike bell-choir sneakers?" Regular shoes. The organists wear special shoes because of all the pedals.
"Why did they flip her bell table to the other side of the church? The second solo looked a little crowded with the communioners filing past behind her." The video system is new and is still reversing the image at times. It's tough to play with all the traffic but she's focused.

there was a glut of clergy. Is that like a gaggle of geese?

Having played handbells, I'm very impressed. I never had to play more than 4. And she has the music memorized, which would be a necessity when she's moving around that much. And she can concentrate with all of those people walking behind her. In my church, we would have applauded.
Flake, there's no reason for you to keep doing yard work when your wife obviously has strong arms.

Thanks, Renee. "Flake, there's no reason for you to keep doing yard work when your wife obviously has strong arms." Excellent point. I'll discuss it with her.
