Up and awake. LOADS of yard work on tap for today. We're also going to run systems checks of all the gear that got wet last weekend. I'm a'skeered to plug my pedal board in. We already bought a new router for the mixer. We'll see what else happens.

Low of 83F this morning and high will be 107. Expected highs of 105 to 109 through Friday. Yesterday we walked the mall, but I don't want to drive over there and do that every day. So we'll just get out there and try to stay in the shade. Spent only $52 at the mall, but then decided to stop at Total Wine across the street from there and spent another $348. We acquired 4 bottles of Scotch, 9 bottles of wine, and 2 boxes of wine. Between that and the wine we already had, we're stocked up for the next lockdown. I had a list of wines that we wanted and they had most of them. Plus we were personally led to every one of them. Best service I've had in a store in a long time.
In person church today. Otherwise staying home.

Good morning. Our high temperatures will be stuck at around 110 for a while. It's been a pretty mild summer but we knew we'd see some crappy weather. At least we'll start seeing a chance of showers by midweek.
Lovely wife is playing solo handbells at church so I'll be there.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning
76F-89F partly cloudy.
Usual Sunday I think. Unless the girls show up. Cheri is on vacation for the week so we will twke advantage of that and have the cable tv removed and go to just WiFi at less than 1/6th the cost. We have ROKU that has all the channels we need. We could not do it until now because she must have wifi during the day for work, no down time for making the change.

Awoke to a dark and quiet house this morning. Then I realized the power was out. Fumbled around and got some candles and a couple of flashlights. It was about 4:30. Found my tablet and amazingly the battery was still charged so I brought up the local power company site and checked on the outage which was pretty local to us, about 100 customers without power. The power came back on about 5:30 and I was almost finished resetting the kitchen clocks when it went out again. It came back about 6:00 and has stayed up since. Lousy way to start the day. The rain has lessened to drizzle anyway. Yesterday was a rain-out but maybe this afternoon will improve. I suspect I'll be napping. A month or so ago, I had a guy pressure wash the house and as long as he was here, added that he should wash the quilt studio. When he walked up on the deck of the studio it collapsed, so I lined up a guy to figure out how to repair or replace it. I'm not up to heavy work at this point. The day he was due to take a look at it I got a message that he had tested positive for Covid so that didn't happen. He's due again today and says he's feeling fine. Then he said his AC is out and he has someone coming today to fix it. Waiting to hear if he'll come today. Nothing's ever easy.
Have a good Sunday if you can.

Early morning thunderstorm. Not the worrisome kind, the lay in bed and enjoy kind. We knew one was brewing when our early warning detector service got up and went down to the basement. Fearless Casper is not.

Well, the guy came over, picked up the deck, which I couldn't do looked at the structure and says he can fix it for a couple of hundred bucks. I'll take that. He'll have to pour a couple of concrete piers to support it but the deck structure should be strong enough.

Up and awake. LOADS of yard work on tap for today. I have yard work and I can keep up with it at my own pace. Which would be nice but boy do I miss the pace Kim kept me at, and her being around to keep me at that pace. What I used to do to keep someone I loved happy I now do because it simply needs to be done. Man, do I miss the former motivation.

Heard and understood well, Todd, and responded to with heartache of my own, admittedly minuscule compared with yours. Love ya, man.

Just watched Batman 22. It may be the worst movie I've ever watched.

Amazing! Thanks for asking, Todd, and thanks for posting, Don! Diane didn't miss a beat and stuck the landings! It occurs to me that in addition to quick and nimble footwork, her arms/wrists must get quite the toning. So impressive and so musical!
