good morning. Got an ice cream maker the other day and last night I made my first batch. I've got to adjust the ingredient amounts a bit but otherwise good stuff. I'm currently watching the British Open. When that's done I'll mess around with my guitars. Have good ones folks.

Good morning. We have an excessive heat warning for today and tomorrow before the temperatures start dropping back to normal. Like Bob, I'm glad to have another day. Enjoy yours.

Good morning while it is still morning for most. The sun is out. We're supposed to get to the low 80s and the pool is at 84. Got some friends and kids coming to swim this afternoon and probably other friends coming for drinks later. I'll rest up. Been waiting for high speed Internet for 16 years here and there are white flags along my road that say "Proposed cable location" on them so there may be progress in sight. Spectrum is putting the fiber in around here. My private road wasn't planned but I asked and they decided to put in the backbone for the 4 house on the road, no charge to us but once it's in we can select from their services like Internet, TV and phone for the regular prices. Now if I can figure out how to get out of my Hughesnet contract and see if their TV service will replace DirecTV. I'll take it and it should be a lot faster and a little cheaper. Don't know what their timetable is to install. I was told 30 days but then got another call that said 90 days, then a visit from the installation guys and they didn't think it would take 90 days. I have a couple of friends over on the bay side who have Spectrum and love it. THey've been laughing at me with DSL and Hughesnet.
Have a good Saturday. 115 days 'til the election, I think.

In theory, ground breaks on our pool on August 22nd. If the weather holds and the supply chain doesn't fold up upon itself between now and then, we may have a pool just in time to not use it because the weather turns. It will necessitate digging up the garden beds, so I hope I have something harvestable before then. Being a city dweller, I have good internet. Whatever it takes to get out of Hughesnet do it. Now I know why you always struggled with Windows updates.

We might as well take advantage of the heat.

We might as well take advantage of the heat. Is that Joey Chestnut's car?
