By direct observation in my orbit I can't look around and say "recession".....yet. As regards the regional construction building scene new activity has slowed down a little but everybody is still short-handed and has a such a huge backlog to wade through that cash is still flowing and everyone is still hustling. But, yeah, it feels like a slow down is coming. To be honest I'm almost looking forward to it. These last few years have been insane.

I don't expect to see a recession around here, at least not in the next year or two. It is good times for energy, great times for agriculture, and construction has more work than it can get to. All could go to hell down the road, but for now, the pillars of the economy up here are really solid.
(inflation is agriculture and energy's friend, we can be counter-cyclical to the rest of the economy).

The current economic malaise is a global phenomenon. Economic indicators in the US are not unusually discouraging/unfavourable in a global context.
