Good story of the extensive planning that went into blasting the f- -er off his balcony without any collateral damage.

Good bye al-zawahiri.
God has never told men to kill for God. Only evil men have said "kill for God".

Good bye al-zawahiri. God has never told men to kill for God. Only evil men have said "kill for God". There is a long history of that probably going as far back as war itself. The 5% can sure stir up the 95% to do some awful things.

I read one comment that the reason the US was able to track and then positively ID al-zawahiri, is that he... ...walked like an egyptian.

I heard an interview on NPR yesterday that suggested Al-Zawahiri’s location may have been provided by the Taliban as a peace-keeping move.

I heard an interview on NPR yesterday that suggested Al-Zawahiri’s location may have been provided by the Taliban as a peace-keeping move. Or very possibly someone decided the millions they'd get for providing the info was worth it. Hiding in a poor country when you have a multimillion dollar price tag on your head doesn't seem terribly smart.

LAST time we gave sanctuary to Al Qaeda, it didn't work out so well."

Wait, was he hiding? The way I heard it he'd been living there for a while and frequently hanging out on the deck where he was killed. He just wasn't that hard to find.
I'm hearing it's just back to terrorist central like the days before 9/11.
