I woke up this morning and checked my Youtube stats to find that Sunday’s recording of “Before You Accuse Me” is getting a significant number of views.
This has never happened on any of the other videos we’ve done.
As of this writing, there were 590 625 658 873 views just over the last 48 hours. Plus numerous comments and new followers. For me, that’s a LOT.
I just can’t figure out why this one is different, but I’m not complaining.

It's the Clapton Effect, would be my guess, as that tune was on his huge-selling Unplugged album.

According to my YouTube Studio account (where they have some amazing statistical tracking) it shows that YouTube picked this video to place in their "browser feature". Since the video passed through the copyright check with no copyright claims (I'm still not sure how that algorithm works), they are free to slap ads over my video. Which it seems they are doing as they promote it. So like you say, it seems the YouTube algorithms decided it was a worthy candidate for promotion with ads. |

It’s an old blues song. Probably of unknown authorship. Or the original copy right expired.
