It's someone's birthday, that I know, which was fortuitous since the 8-8 looks like this: 八八, which looks really stable, a good foundation (short for the date, 八月八日).
No bike today (was out yesterday and will go tomorrow), but I did do my pushups.

It's Michael Johnson's birthday, I see. He would be 78 today. Miss that guy in a big way.

I recently learned that changing a "D" to a "T" in a name means the number of brush strokes needed to write the name goes from 10 to 8. And my name looks something like this:

Good morning, all. I think there is a basket-load of August birthdays among us forumites.
Students are returning to the university. Classes start August 16, but sorority rush starts today, and a few other groups have already moved in.
Not much other news.

Good morning. Today I have a nuclear stress test at 9:15 and can't have any coffee. I'm not responsible for my words or actions.
Enjoy your day.

Today I must go with the flow. Our periodontist returns after being on vacation for 2 weeks. We will try to get Mr. H in to get his loose crown extracted. Not the crown, but the 2 posts, that are loose. If that can get scheduled, he may or may not get a general anesthetic, so I may have to drive him. and even if it's a local anesthetic, I still may have to drive him because it's overcast and looks like we'll get more rain on top of the .2" that we got overnight. Due to his wet macular degeneration, he only drives in good light. And if it's early in the day and it's a general anesthetic, he can't have breakfast. But even if he can get in, it may be that it will be just a consultation. Mr. H has sent an email with pertinent information to the office and will call soon after they open at 7:30 AM, so we're postponing our walk. And what we have for dinner depends on what gets done to him today. I may need to draw a flowchart.

I think it's gonna be a long day for me, I went to bed last night about 10:00 pm and then woke up at 1:30 am. I thought I could get back to sleep, but at 4:00 am I gave up and got up.
Might be a good day to work on the wood portion of a stone tomahawk that I'm making.

Morning. I can feel Autumn in the air, at least I could last night. It got down to the low 50's and I felt like I was camping in the north woods. Good thing I was prepared and had a wool blanket at the ready.

Good morning! I am alive, vertical barely. Here's my little wry smile
I do think about my friends, departed souls and some of them have some issues - a private thought. It’s a little prayer.
I see people - the wave & smile.
I don’t have to say “you’re having a wonderful day” or “I like your dress - your shirt - your reading glasses - your shoes”
You have a good day and enjoy your days

I'm back from my nuclear stress test. For those who don't know, there are several steps to it. The most taxing is the treadmill. The techs are trying to get your heart rate up to 127. If you don't get there fairly rapidly, they increase the speed and increase the treadmill's upward incline. After seven minutes I was going uphill at a rate that was almost too fast for walking but not quite fast enough for jogging. My heart rate had reached a plateau at about 120. I told a tech I wasn't sure I could keep going more than a couple of minutes more. So I got more radioactive fairy dust fed in through the IV. After some images of my heart were made they finished the test with some modified procedure used for people whose heart rate won't accelerate enough.
A stress test isn't that big a deal but it's a nuisance. A necessary one, of course. I was talking to a lady in the waiting room who had spent her career as a cardiologist's nurse. She hadn't had health insurance and never had her heart checked. At the age of 59 she got insurance and got a workup done at a cardiologist's office. All of her major blood vessels were over 90 percent occluded. She'd been headed for a heart attack. When I went through this last year, my results were fine, but one of these days they may not be. So it needed doing but I'm glad it's done.

My Youngest son brought my Telecaster to me Saturday and I have been playing it a lot. I am trying to learn to do 1 1/2 step bends without pulling the flesh away from my nails. I might have to cheat or go back down to a .009 string.
