Just go steal one off somebody else’s car. (Sorry for the gallows humor. Catalytic converter thefts are a going business in certain neighborhoods in Chicago. Tonight’s news reported a guy was shot by thieves when he saw them sawing it off his car and he tried to intervene. )

Just go steal one off somebody else’s car. Note that Evan lost two off his Tundra. Low-to-the-ground sedans like mine get some theft protection, I spose, as do high-mileage ones (also like mine). Garages also help. But bidnessmen like Evan are vulnerable if their vehicles are parked outside overnight.

They got me. Specifically the company Tundra. 2 of em Curses. "They" got us a couple of months ago. Sawzalled it right out from under one of our two Econolines. Real security measures, like indoor parking, aren't options. Now I park them passenger side to passenger side, as close as I can squeeze them. I try to get the right mirrors to kiss the right rear pillars. It usually takes a couple of tries. Oh, and it's over a grease spot. I'm just trying to make us enough of a pain the bastards will go find somebody else to rob.

I intend to have shields welded over them. Once new ones can be found. They're very scarce.
Wonder why...
