You can get them to throw in two if you ask. My guy, Lucas, had three put in the box my Bose Pro 8 came in. (I go straight for the "Bit-O-Honey")

Sweetwater isn't too far from me. I've thought about seeking employment there. They do need people, I would apply and if it isn’t anything you want to do, you can always decline. By not trying, the answer is always no. CareersFixed link (I hope)

My wife is always excited when a Sweetwater box comes as I am allergic to peanuts and she gets the Bit-O-Honey

My last large Sweetwater purchase was in person, and when they heard I liked Bit-O-Honey and Atomic Fireballs they gave me a bag of each.
John, if I lived closer to Ft. Wayne it would be a no-brainer for me - I'd definitely apply. Of course, even though it is a single-location musical instrument store, it is very corporate. Which I'm OK with, having done that both in accounting and music. But if you compared the benefits and the working schedule to what you're doing right now, it might be something you could work out.
I really enjoy visiting - like Guitar Center on steroids that have only good qualities (no roid rages there!). I'm glad they're expanding their used section, and store credit is great for all of the things I buy anymore. At my point, the instruments I play and enjoy are new and cheap, and happen to be brands they carry.

I've looked at it and don't really even know what kind of position I'd be applying for. I would be good at candy distribution.

I am a big Sweetwater fan. For personal use and for the school's use (mics and related sound equipment for the musical). Their prices good, their selection of equipment is good, their advice is good, their customer service is good, and their shipping is fast. I just got this email from my guy, Lucas, letting me know my guitar had come in, passed inspection, and is on its way to my local Fed Ex office where it will be held safely until I am ready to pick it up. I also got a phone call, as I always do. Well, don't keep us in suspense. Did you get it? How is it? Did you get rosewood or mahogany? Do you like the shorter, 24.9" scale? How does it sound? Do you think the torrified top makes it sound better? Are you going to sell the Taylor? Is it as loud as your trombone?

I only do it for the candy. It used to be just randomly scattered in the box. Now it’s prepackaged in little plastic bags. I love Bit-O-Honey.

They still send out those giant catalogs from time to time. Whenever Kathy sees one in the mailbox, she fears that trouble will soon be afoot. She is frequently correct.
