This beauty was waiting for me 50 yards from the house.

Looks like bear droppings to me. Are there bears in Vinton?

Are there bears in Vinton? Do guitar players shit in the woods?

Are there bears in Vinton? Do guitar players shit in the woods? I would be willing to bet on that one.

I'm having a serious case of DEJA VU...I admire mushrooms. I respect them. I think they are one of nature's/God's coolest inventions. I like taking pictures of them. But I haven't figured out how to enjoy eating them. And my favorite mushroom quote, which I thought I came up with but I think is a paraphrase of someone famous and respected, "All mushrooms are edible. Some are survivable."

John B, the way I recently read it was: All mushrooms are edible. Some can only be eaten once.

We had mushrooms stuffed with italian sausage the other day. Very yummy.
They’re such weird things. Tasty in so many ways. Some extremely poisonous. And then….
Magic mushrooms grow all the over the place here. We used to pick them out of the grass in yards. I had a most unfortunate evening with them when I was a teenager.
