good morning. We made it through the storm with no damage, not much rain or wind. The path of the storm diverted far enough south to put us out of harms way. Our daughter Kelly and her family made it through without incident as well so we are extremely relieved and grateful. However it's not so great south of Tampa..... Sun is just coming up and now we'll see how bad it was. My old duet partner Denis moved to Sanibel Island a few years back and my son in laws sister has a house on the river in Fort Myers. Hope they made it through alright.

40 degrees here. We should start to warm up a bit over the next couple of days. It looks like areas of FL are in bad shape this morning.

Up drinking coffee. Watching the unfolding story of Ian and Florida. Most people I know in Florida were lucky in that they weren't hit directly. I'll be heading to the cabin later this morning, I want to mow (string trim) the south lawn. Can't get in there with a lawn mower, so "mowing " it is a good workout. I only do that about 4-5 times a year so it's not too bad.

Hurricanes make Indiana seem like a decent place to live. And, of course, squirrels.

A down and backer to Omaha today for a med school reunion dinner. Probably back late Friday or Saturday.
Russ I have elected to leave the 14 year old Subaru home. The old gal's been making some strange noises. Taking the wife's slightly younger minivan.

Good morning.
42F-68F sunny.
We refuse to turn on the central heat yet so it got quite cool last night.
All the web cams on Pine Island are off line.
I'll grab a cup of coffee and head down to the shop.

Up coffee, watching the news. I’m glad OR doesn’t see hurricanes.

47 Degrees and the sun is shining. Booked a gig last night at the Vinton Railroad Depot that many of you will remember fondly. The Benton County Historical Society is doing a Fall Festival and Paleo and I will join up with Todd to make some music to pass the day at the event. Hoping for good weather as October can always be a bit fickle around these parts.
Have good a day y'all!

Good morning. My half brother lives on the gulf side of Florida but I'm not sure exactly where. He posted some videos that looked pretty hairy but he says he's okay.
Zoom social breakfast this morning, followed by shopping for groceries. Our temperatures are dropping. All's well. Enjoy your day.

Good Late Morning
Pleasant late September weather. I will be confined to the back yard. Footers are set and leveled for the shed. Before cutting treated timbers for the base, I am laying down chicken wire and topping it with concrete reinforcing mesh, to discourage critters from digging under the completed shed. We live in a city neighborhood, with common back fences and garages backing up to each other. This space forms a superhighway and wayside shelters for cats, possums, skunks, groundhogs and maybe a coyote or two.
Have a fine Thursday.

DaWife just TOLD me to inspect the furnace because she IS going to fire it up. She's tired of being cold, I am too, just more stubborn and I have a heat pad on my desk chair and usually a warm kitty in my lap.

DaWife just TOLD me to inspect the furnace because she IS going to fire it up. She's tired of being cold, I am too, just more stubborn and I have a heat pad on my desk chair and usually a warm kitty in my lap. The padlock is still on the furnace. It has to be 35 degrees for at least 12 hours before I consider removing it.

Sometimes I just feel like leaving work to go home and noodle on guitar. Maybe grab a beer.
