Good morning
52F-64F sunny. Big change from yesterday.
I was doing shop and laundry yesterday. I did get ALL my laundry done. DaWife never does, way too many clothes.
Got to get to the Post Office today, sorry Marshall.

Sup Dawgs!
Got the cheap Cordoba electric nylon in yesterday and got 30 minutes with it last night. Not sure yet. New lower tension nylon strings aren't a lot of fun. Fit, finish, and playability are fine.

A drizzly day in the Blue Ridge Mountains as I await the arrival of Yungerdottir to ferry me over to her place to spend a few hours with the grands, drink coffee, etc.
Dinner at the chicken shack last night was awesome, allowing me the pleasure of enjoying leftover potato salad for breakfast this morning, along with my skyr yogurt.
Tonight we will gather the whole tribe for pizza on the eve of my departure day, though there will be some more time together tomoro, just fragmented among households.
Dog drama last night as Elderdottir's two curious canines found and partially ingested a pheasant wing that SIL had ordered for fly-tying -- much late-night phone calling with veterinary poison control experts, as the wing was packed in formaldehyde. All is well today, though, whew.

Up. Coffee. Nita wants breakfast so it’s hash browns, eggs and sausage in a bit. More fun with edging today, as we are having a family barbeque on Sunday for her dad’s 85th birthday and she wants the place spruced up.
Interesting fun fact.
Did you know a gas edger can easily and effortlessly remove a rain bird in ground sprinkler head? You’ll know when the sprinklers turn on and instead of watering the lawn you get a geyser of water shooting up in the air. Fun times, fun times.

Fit, finish, and playability are fine. Try a carbon set on it. D'Addario EJ-46FF. Carbon trebles are thinner yet higher tension and feel more natural to a steel string player.

Good morning. It's beautiful out. It'll be 63F to about 92F here.
I thought of Dan Brown this morning as I took about fifty photos of the same hummingbird. The world doesn't need more hummingbird shots but they're challenging and fun to take.
No complaints. Enjoy your day.

Snail mail has taken on a new meaning today as I am expecting some snails in the mail... six Tiger Nerites I ordered from a shop in Indianapolis.
Nerites are the number one best algae eaters for the aquarium. Plus they are 100% vegetarian so they won't eat the eggs my pair of convict cichlids are currently tending. Another plus, they are an estuary inhabitant. And while they live and eat with perfect contentment in a freshwater aquarium, their eggs need to be in brackish water in order to hatch. So, I don't have to worry about dealing an exploding snail population somewhere down the line.
The only downside is they cost around $250 per. Pricey little fucks.
(but as I ordered six, I got a 3% discount!)
(they go for about three bucks a snail)

Yay, the flickers are back. I always look forward to seeing them. They don’t live here but they stop here, spring and autumn, during their migration. They stay for a few days, then move on.

The $250 was just a bit fun on my part. The snails I ordered were $3 apiece plus $7 something shipping. Personally, I would never spend much over eighty or ninety bucks on a snail. Unless it was one hell of a snail. (more fun)

Has anyone of Curdish heritage ventured out to Culver's today?

Another dark and rainy day. We need the rain so I don’t care.
Enjoy every minute of the day.

Back from the bike ride. Only ten miles, 40 minutes, but it gets the blood flowing. If I could do that 5 or 6 days a week, I might feel semi healthy.

Got the box closed and sides leveled on a commission OM. Always a big moment in the gestational life of a guitar. Also fighting a nasty virus but thankfully not COVD. At least tests are negative.

I was going to comment on the really interesting figure on those guitar sides until I figured out they were sanding guides.
